    Root Causes

Internationalist pundit Russell Brand took issue with Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper using the phrase “in cold blood” to describe the targeted assassination of Cpl. Nathan Cirillo. (Truman Capote – hardly a macho hawk – famously used the phrase.) He accused the Prime Minister of having an “agenda” and that he was telling Canadians “how to think.” Brand went on to critique the Canadian military and “some fabric with a leaf on it.”

Mind, Brand – self-confessed heroin, sex, and alcohol addict, arrested twelve times – recently described Vancouver’s drug injection facility as the “crown jewel of Vancouver,” and declared that “Communism is just sharing, isn’t it?” Pointing to a huge banner of Che Guevara, Brand described the image as, “fierce, noble… what a leader should look like.” For the historically illiterate, this is the Che Guevara who wanted the Kennedys assassinated and New York City incinerated: “If the (nuclear) missiles had remained we would have used them against the very heart of America including New York. We must never establish peaceful coexistence. In this struggle to the death between two systems we must gain the ultimate victory. We must walk the path of liberation even if it costs millions of atomic victims.”

Brand went on to attack Harper ranting, “We wouldn’t let him be in charge of pencils!” Note that academics, policy makers, and scientists who have taken a dissenting view about narco-socialism have found their offices surrounded by flash mobs of angry addicts and militant Marxists a la Cuba’s Committees for the Defense of the Revolution. Brand also cameos on Russia Today, the official propaganda organ of Vladimir Putin; he denounced the nation state as a retrograde “construct” and parroting host Max Kaisar, proclaimed: “historically, beheading works!” The tactics of the Islamic State are the tactics of the Leninist.

Disturbingly, the Marxist-liberal left in Canada mirrors Brand’s mentalite. Sensitive dude, actor, drug experimenter, hirsute and female-friendly Justin Trudeau continues as the Russell Brand of Canadian politics, e.g. “trying to whip out our CF-18s and show them how big they are!” Bizarre, Freudian gutter-rants in the context of the Islamic State are in poorest of taste – the IS continues in its Satanic orgy of gang rapes en masse – alongside murder, mayhem, beheadings, crucifixions, genocide. Bob Rae, like Brand, perpetually deconstructs the “narrative” and lambasted the Prime Minister for, “the appalling way he manages Parliament and attempts to manufacture consent” – obviously alluding to Noam Chomsky’s Manufacturing Consent.

Justin Trudeau, like Brand, is a militant supporter of narco-socialism; his Facebook page: “Exciting news about Insite Clinic in Vancouver. A victory for medical science, Charter rights, and common sense over narrow, right-wing ideology and politicking.” Ironically, mere blocks from where Michael Zehaf-Bibeau bunked down in Vancouver, the Marxist social services group that ran Insite was subsequently caught out in a financial scandal. Despite being tasked with helping the poorest of the poor, two scanty audits (the society would not produce expense records) revealed a “let them eat cake” philosophy. PHS executive director Mark Townsend was discovered to have charged $470 000 over 3 years on the society’s platinum card. Elizabeth Evans, co-executive director, charged another $140 000. Two other key executives added $260 000.

A $3000 dollar trip to Disneyland that included NDP MLA Jenny Kwan was discovered. Ms. Kwan, during a tearful press conference, assured the media she had been duped and: “was assured at the time by my former partner that he paid out of his pocket for the family portion of the travel expenses.” Kwan vowed to repay nearly $ 30 000 for this and other travel. There were $6000 river cruises down the Danube for a “PHS director.” (This represents about the yearly average income of a Downtown Eastside resident.) $550/night hotel rooms in Austria. £478/night hotels in U.K. – not including £35 for flowers. Nights at the Plaza Hotel in New York City that bills itself as the “standard of luxury.” $50/day for “home office” in the stylishly gentrified 2 million dollar residence owned by Townsend and Evans. $9 000 on “spa services. $12 000 in “limousines.” KPMG found 764 restaurant charges totaling $69 000 including Vancouver’s high-end Shangri-La and nine visits to Chambar, a Gastown fine eatery. A mere two visits Hawksworth Restaurant cost $887. Mind, this is taxpayer money earmarked for the poorest of the poor. Evidently, all animals are created equal but some more equal than others.

We submit that the Michael Zehaf-Bibeaus – drug addict, insane person, Islamist – of the world are the to-be-expected and bitter fruits of the Marxist-liberal left. Perhaps if champagne socialists were doing their job rather than blowing tax payer’s money, there would be less social disintegration? Perhaps if the Marxist-liberal elite weren’t cheer leaders for Fidel Castro, Che Guevara, Vlad Putin and other assorted Chekists, the revolutionary suicide would stop? Perhaps if the thought terminating clichés of “multiculturalism,” “Islamophobia,” and “the religion of peace,” were chucked on the trash heap of history, the Islamic State and all other hydra heads of the Nation of Islam would wither and die away.

This person has been posting these incoherant screeds always with a different first name, last name initial pattern.

Agreed. I’m becoming tiresome for Brand and his opinions. People bring him up at parties like he’s some sort of guru of political thought and cannot be proven wrong. He’s trying so desperately to be the next ‘George Carlin’ if you ask me, and at least I found Carlin to be funny and enlightening at times. Brand is just a neo-anarchist who’s views are based in emotion rather than thought, like a child.

Well, James, you’ve single-handedly filled the weekly quota for utter tripe. Well done.

    Speaking of mental illness…

Thanks for the info Warren. I will be making my donation post haste.

On a tangent I know but a related tangent nevertheless I am becoming a bit distressed by some people (mainly on the left side of the political spectrum) who want to make the evil committed by Bibeaus the acts of a mad man and not the acts of an evil man or the acts of a (in?)sane man driven by an evil ideology. I spend a lot of time dealing with people with mental issues and believe me when I say that not all evil is mental illness and not all mental illness is evil. A sane person can engage in an evil act or follow an evil ideology. A person with mental health problems is not inherently evil and not always dangerous, nor is (s) he any more at risk of following an evil ideology than any sane person.

What I find instructive in the Bibeaus case is that the mother “is not crying for her son”. Now I don’t know about anyone else but if my mentally unstable son went on a killing rampage I would be crying for my son because I would have been doing everything I could to get him help. Of course I would also be crying for my son’s victims because they too were let down by a mental health industry that is little better than a witch doctor when it comes to curing or controlling certain kinds of mental health issues.

It makes me think she wrote off and washed her hands of her son a long time ago, which makes her more responsible for this than if she had been trying.

Thanks for the handy link Warren!

I have contributed and hope this helps the families dealing with such tragedies.

Everyone-approach your legions. Ask for donations from their Poppy Funds or their Lottery Account. Poppy Funds would be better-that’s what they are for!
