Dubya returns

It’s kind of scary when W. and Palin actually turn out to be smarter than any of the current GOP field, ain’t it?

Yah, well, us Canadians are not that much brighter. We have our Vogue prime minister who never before getting elected held a real full-time job, who believes in his entitlements, and like his father (wage and price controls) is on track to break even more whooper promises.

I feared we were going to get Ben Mulroney, but it is:

In my old age I am seeing how/why the monarchies survived. We are predisposed to gene pools. Or spouses now. 40 U.S. presidents, and there was Adams and Bush and Harrison (grandfather/grandson). Kennedys tried. Who doesn’t think Michelle Obama will not also go into politics? Which one of the Harper children will our children vote in?

Best way to see the presidential race is through the Obama prism: Trump is their Obama. Their candidate of Hope and Change. The One who will make Washington work by changing Washington.

They have waited a long time for their Obama-clone: now they think they have it. And chances are better than even that we will see President Trump in the White House.

    MississaugaPeter,

Surely they jest. One would have thought that in Winnipeg that they were well aware of the Alliance’s power. That political muscle got us Rona Ambrose.

    Warren,

As you have demonstrated previously, choosing a Justin-like-lite as leader will only result in political disaster. They will need a polar opposite of this PM to have any chance in the next election.
