I think I agree in this case, because Trump’s legitimacy is questionable to say the least. But doesn’t it really depend? Trudeau regularly called Stephen Harper the Prime Minister, and this did not seem to hurt him. However, Harper was a more legitimate official than the personified garbage down south. I presume Trudeau did not want to appear juvenile in rejecting his title, or dismissing the importance of the same office he sought.

There is an argument to made that denying his title is denying reality itself. He is factually the president after all. Do you suppose opponents risk embracing a competing set of alternative facts? Because that is bad.

I am hoping that his title will eventually be Convict #2017-0001 in a federal prison somewhere.

I refer to Steve Bannon as President Bannon, and Trump as his brainless, easily manipulated puppet. Not being thought of as bright enough to be president and crediting those around him must make him wild. |I live in hope.

I picture it like this: Donald Trump is a marionette being operated by Steve Bannon, who is being manipulated by the Russians and who knows who else.

Like Forrest Gump, Donald Trump is not a smart man. Forrest had a reason though; Donald not so much.

    Warren,

Kind of hard to delegitimize a guy duly sworn in by the Chief Justice of the United States Supreme Court.

Leave that task to Trump himself.

No, it’s easy. You just close your eyes, work up a paroxysm of rage and start chanting “He is not my President!” It’s particularly easy for Canadians.

It’s kind of a New Age take on “We the People…” If enough of us do that, he disappears.
