Color me pessimistic

Our inability to take action is strikingly similar to an drug addict’s inability to kick their habit. It’s usually only after they hit rock bottom that they are forced, either by themselves or others to finally take action (provided they aren’t dead from an overdose). Unfortunately when it comes to climate change, rock bottom likely means extinction.

30 years from now, when the next generation looks back on the insanity of the “climate change” hysteria, they will feel the same way I did about the “next ice age” hysteria that was also supposed to spell the end of the world. All of these doomsayers have the same thing in common……Humans are bad, but the good humans will gladly cowtow to the politicians, academics, the elites, and the other “better-than-you” blowhards….and give them all of our money to fix the problem.

It’s a scam. Pure and simple. (the first hint should have been Al Gore buying a multi-million dollar mansion on the same coast line he said would be under 20 feet of water in 20 years. )

      Citation please.

        Truth needs no citations.

This is a very informative website debunking many of the popular doomsday predictions. When anyone sees the climate change zealots practicing what they preach, that may be time to pay attention. Till then , it’s just tax and regulate developed nations while ignoring the largest emitters.

        Derek,

A simple google search will turn up thousands of papers, videos, and articles outlining exactly how the “science” behind climate change has been corrupted.

If you have any doubts, simply ask yourself this. “why is no one allowed to question the science around climate change”

answer, because the purveyors of this myth know that their story doesn’t hold water (or contain any actual science) and they don’t like being put under the microscope. If folks are convinced of their findings, they WELCOME scrutiny, they don’t try to shut it down with labels of “denier” or anti-science.

The truth is out there……if you just look for it.

On the Internet, you can Google up and “truth” you want. Flat Earth, Roswell aliens or Pizzagate.

Notice how deniers never point to an individual article or theory that reflects their beliefs. They just say Google it yourself. It’s because they don’t have any actual beliefs on climate change, they just deny and deny even if they contradict themselves.

  3. Derek Pearce says:

Agreed. I honestly don’t get why people procreate anymore, they’re only bequeathing a burning shit show to their poor offspring.

    • JamesHalifax says:

      Derek,

It comes as no surprise to me that you don’t understand the reason people still insist upon the actions required for procreation.

Short answer. It’s a lot of fun trying. Get out of the basement and see for yourself; instead of by yourself.

While it is a fact that increased levels of CO2 and methane in the atmosphere increase global temperatures, the idea that wind turbines and solar panels will in any way mitigate this fact is pure fantasy. The fact that most climate alarmists oppose nuclear energy and favour high taxes and/or socialism as a way to combat CO2 emmissions should tell us enough about the whole “green” agenda. Global warming will be solved by engineers, not activists.

  6. JamesHalifax says:

    Somewhat agree, Ed.

But I think we are looking in the wrong spot. If you want to know the real reason behind global climate changes (throughout history) it always comes down to the same thing.

that big ball of burning hydrogen in the sky.

    • Ed says:

It is not unreasonable to conclude that higher levels of CO2 are caused by industrialization and that this increases global temperature. It is unreasonable to advocate for a zero-carbon economy. If Global Warming does turn out to be a big problem, it will be solved by geo-engineering (sending reflective particles in to the upper atmosphere). Wind turbines, solar panels and electric cars (the three things goverment loves to subsidize) are not even part of the solution.

      • doconnor says:

Everything I’ve read made it clear that reducing emissions now will be much cheaper the (government subsidized) geoengineering and be without the undesirable and unpredictable side effects.
