A group of Cabinet ministers met in McKenna’s Ottawa home following Wernick’s testimony — from the Cochrane CBC story. This can’t be good, can it? Are the Liberals getting ready to ditch their leader? They have such a deep bench they could probably get away with it.

If you took his entire cabinet, and turned them into water…..you wouldn’t even get your feet wet if you waded amongst them in your sock covered feet.

Come on. Even the most hyper partisan person can count the number of Ph.D’s, lawyers, scientists, astronauts and doctors in the Liberal caucus to see they are a deep bench. To deny it is to deny basic facts.

That’s half the caucus. The other half were selected for reasons other than education or talent, and would not have even won their nominations without Trudeau’s personal intervention (which is just one of the reasons why so many Liberals don’t like him, and work against him any chance they get).

And even if that’s the case, on what basis is half a 180 person caucus – or for argument’s sake even a quarter of that caucus – with that much education not deep? I know you didn’t make the original statement I’m responding to, but I’m curious what criteria JamesHalifax would use to gauge depth?

Trudeau does have some talent available to him, certainly…but he’s shown no indication so far that he understands how to properly use it.

Upon reflection, maybe not as many as “the other half” …more like a third or so. I remember stories about a few ‘parachuted in ‘ candidates and the anger that resulted, but I didn’t make an actual count of them.
