Shocker: Norman’s lawyer alleges PMO and PCO were telling witnesses what to say

Check it out, around the six minute mark.

Just in case you are wondering, it is considered highly, highly unethical for a lawyer to influence a witnesses’ testimony.  And, sometimes, it can be a crime for someone to coach a witness to testify one way or another.

I also love Marie’s shot at Justin Trudeau’s claim to be a feminist.  Suffice to say that she doesn’t believe it.

Jesus God – anyone remotely complicit in this needs to be publicly flogged and then dumped at sea. What a pack of scumbags.

  2. Henry says:

Isn’t it great to hear a competent, intelligent woman speaking logically and rationally without resorting to emotional tirades and irrational feminist dogma. How refreshing!!

The most important thing Canadians need to do now is to insure that this arrogant, ignorant little weasel – Justin Trudeau is removed from office along with his grossly incompetent cabinet. Let’s get it done!!

  3. Leo Fleming says:

the PMO is run by shitbags. It’s what you would expect from a high school mock PMO.

It’s fascinating to see the many varied ways in which corruption flows through the PMO. Counseling witnesses to what they could or could not say. What the fucking hell?

    • Robert says:

Some people will believe anything they hear or read if it fits their political bias. Shitbags, really? Many people might say Harpers people were shitbags. They weren’t and neither are Trudeau’s people.

  4. Max says:

Trudeau looks increasingly isolated and lonely. Far from elegant and debonair, Eeyore comes to mind. He is vulnerable and his own Party can see it as well. I predict before he is done, we’ll see more leaks out of this PMO than Trump’s White House. All the selfies in the mirror won’t save him now.

    • Chris says:

      Not Eeyore.
More like a combination of the Scarecrow, Tinman, and Cowardly Lion.
No heart. No brain. No courage. Just hubris.

What a stand up guy. Really appreciated.

We hope the whole story comes out, sooner rather than later.

  7. Joseph says:

So not only did team Sockmonkey keep evidence from the defense they also kept that evidence from the prosecution.

May I pose a hypothetical question?

If a government agent brings forth evidence that initiates charges against an individual, but then later its discovered that that agency withheld evidence, does this not put that agency in a legal liability?

    Asking for a friend.

    • Joseph,

If these allegations can be proved, we will see sooner rather than later, a prime ministerial resignation. He will have to take responsibility for the actions of his own subordinates.

  8. Time is an EXTREMELY precious commodity — especially in politics’ fast lane. What was potentially recoverable, if they made a quick about-face re: JWR and JP is now, thanks to these seemingly incredibly damaging revelations, an opportunity lost forever.

    Nothing can save them now.

    • Robert says:

Nothing except the best jobs report ever!

      • Fred from BC says:

“Nothing except the best jobs report ever!”

Well, like it or not, you can probably credit Donald Trump for that. Trade disputes and tariffs notwithstanding, when the US economy rises, so does ours.

        • Robert says:

Trump would have to create 1 million jobs in a month to equal Trudeau’s numbers. Nice try to discredit Trudeau though.

          • Fred from BC says:

No one needs to try and discredit Trudeau. He does that pretty much every time he opens his mouth.

      • Ronald O'Dowd says:

        Robert,

Are you old enough to remember Churchill winning the war and then promptly being tossed out on his ass in the general?

Once voter fatigue sets in you’re done, even if you could arrange the second coming of Christ.

People like Trump and Trudeau don’t get that.

        • Ronald O'Dowd says:

But yes, there is one massive proviso: you’ve got to get to the polls to win. Attlee’s supporters sure did. Will the Democrats and Conservatives do the same? I think so. And if the Dems go centrist, more assuredly so as they pull in independents.

        • Robert says:

Nanos is the only poll I trust. He says Trudeau is behind by 3 points. If that is the worst after all the crap thrown at him for 3 months and with literally the best job numbers EVER then I think he wins easily. The person above who tries to credit Trump should stick to his day job.

          • Ronald O'Dowd says:

            Robert,

Job creation is largely an agnostic private sector creation, just like recession or even depression. Nothing quite like the real unending and repeating cycles of greed-infused capitalism. But true believers artfully distract by blaming the Fed or the B of C.

          • Fred from BC says:

“Nanos is the only poll I trust”

Of course it is. It’s the only one that tells you what you are obviously so desperate to hear.

          • Robert says:

He is the most consistently accurate pollster Fred. Unlike you with your obvious hard right wing bias l will give credit where credit is due. It’s people like you who have stoked this tribalistic bullshit we all have to deal with.

  9. Raymond says:

Anybody happen to see the VA video celebrating our WW2 vets…by showing Nazi Wermacht soldiers?
    I kid you not.

    • Walter says:

I think the Stephen Harper government mixed up an Atlantic Salmon with a Chinook Salmon once.
I suppose this is the equivalent. ?

    • Ronald O'Dowd says:

      Montréalaise,

And people wonder why the public sector still needs to prove itself…at least the Canadian and American VAs have something in common.

  10. Robert says:

It never ceases to amaze me how every little issue in Canada is blown way out of proportion by partisan and self interested people on both ends of the political spectrum. There are always areas of contention which ultimately get sorted out but from what I can see, every aspect of the government is ticking like a fine clock at the moment.

    • Fred from BC says:

“There are always areas of contention which ultimately get sorted out but from what I can see, every aspect of the government is ticking like a fine clock at the moment.”

Yes, especially the corruption aspect of it. Like a Swiss watch.

      • Robert says:

You are obviously a conservative hard liner. Nothing Trudeau could do would satisfy you so your opinion has to be taken lightly.

        • Fred from BC says:

“You are obviously a conservative hard liner. ”

Amusing, but wrong. You haven’t been here anywhere near long enough to figure out my political stance, but thanks for trying.

“Nothing Trudeau could do would satisfy you so your opinion has to be taken lightly.”

          Not true. He could resign.
