  1. Dork in East York says:

Bill Davis?? More like Bible Bill Aberhart.

  2. Jim R says:

After such memorable events as the India trip and the Aga Khan Xmas vacation, and gross hypocrisy w.r.t. the need to believe women, a “Bill Davis” leader may look more than a little enticing to some folks.
The question is whether Scheer can really do bland.

  3. Mark D says:

What about Mad Max or Blanchet?

There is a great overview on CNN’s website today of the Canadian landscape:

Andrew Scheer’s favourite Potato Chips — Original
Andrew Scheer’s favourite Ice Cream Flavour – Vanilla
Andrew Scheer’s favourite Car brand — GM

Condiments Andrew Scheer puts on a Hotdog — ketchup, That is all.

Andrew Scheer’s idea of living Dangerously— Crossing the street when the walk sign clearly has a red hand for stop.

Kinda hard for Trudeau to put fear into Voters, when the villain is a Landlords dream of the perfect Tenant.

  6. Gyor says:

Can Scheer get beyond being linked to Doug Ford?

  7. RKJ says:

Just sent a (very modest) contribution to the Scheer campaign – am still very annoyed at Harper’s campaign. Engaging in needless button pushing regarding which clothes women choose to wear is a guaranteed loosing strategy. My contribution is a recognition of anti-Trudeau rather than pro-Scheer sentiments. The coming months will indicate if any of the federal leaders can provide reasons to vote for them, as opposed to voting against them,

  8. Douglas W says:

Wondering, how long it will be before Ford gets “Patrick Browned”? Have to believe that Conservatives, at the federal and provincial levels, will be chompin’ at the bit to get rid of the Ontario Premier, who’s killing the Conservative brand in the province. With Ford around, PMJT has a strong chance to clean-up again in Ontario, and hold onto power.

  9. Ronald O'Dowd says:

The problem starts with people lumping one party in with another. PCs aren’t supposed to be CPCs and vice-versa. But Ford has foolishly moved his party a-bridge-too-far to the right and that may kill CPC momentum in the province.

Ford will be just like Harper. Out when he finally gets thrown out by voters.

  10. Dan says:

I’m a hard core Liberal. I voted for Bill Davis. To compare Scheer to Davis is the most ridiculous thing I’ve heard in a long time (even in the Trump era).

  11. Ronald O'Dowd says:

    Dan,
    Tom,

My compliments on being ahead of the curve.

You are excellent strategists, in my book!

  12. Adam says:

“Actively being ignored by the media” is not “MIA”. Singh prominently announced several major parts of the NDP platform in recent weeks.

The only way he’s invisible is if you’re deliberately not looking or paying any attention.

Meanwhile, the Greens get reams of free publicity building up the narrative of their “surge”.

  13. Mezba Mahtab says:

    To be more accurate.

    ANDREW SCHEER: Doug Ford.
