Palm Sunday (updated)

Won’t be getting to Mass, for some reason, so I will do so right here at 10:00.

UPDATE: I went.

  1. I don’t often write in to discuss politics with you, as I think we disagree quite a bit. Because of your level of involvement with it, I can afford distance from the entire establishment; I can stand askance from ‘those sinners’ over there. But we find ourselves without the same Sacrament now, in this time of exile.

Read on Twitter the other day: “So you worship sports and put it above listening to my Word? Let me empty your stadiums. So your entertainers mock me? Let me empty your theaters. So you trust in your money and your abundance? Let me wipe out your economy. So you wouldn’t listen to my Word? Let me close my churches. A judgment we richly deserve indeed. And yet, as in Lamentations, we turn to the One whose wrath has been stirred and pray: Have mercy! And then we experience: “The steadfast love of the Lord never faileth; His mercies never shall come to an end. They are new every morning. Great is Thy faithfulness.”

From Jeremiah’s Lamentation: “How lonely sits the city… The roads to Zion mourn, for none come to the festival; all her gates are desolate; her priests groan…”

That we all took it for granted is for certain. But fear not the Foe, little flock, for your Savior is coming. Amen amen, He is coming on a donkey. On a foal, the colt of a donkey.

Have a good Holy Week, sir. The Church shall always stand, even when steeples are falling.

I am surprised your church had a service. Our minister broadcasts his service online.

  3. DRB says:

Might have to join virtually join you for one of these masses – been a while since I got the chance to listen to Cardinal Tom “As in the drink” Collins.

  4. Paul says:

One of the most beautiful churches I have ever been in.
