KINSELLACAST 116: “WE” have corruption, too – as told by Adler, Mraz & Kinsella

  1. Ronald O'Dowd says:

What you said off the top about Garneau: that’s the Marc I know and supported for leadership during my ten-year tenure as a Liberal Party member. Won’t be surprised in the slightest if he ultimately decides not to run again. If that happens, Marc’s decision will speak volumes to say the very least.

  2. Robin says:

A commentator from the mortgage sector stated about 255 of mortgages are either in arrears or in default. That is a better indicator of what will happen when CERB stops and abeyances on rent & mortgages are lifted. People vote with their wallets. It appears the choice will be Trudeau or homeless poverty. The future for Canada doesn’t look bright under Trudeau’s reign.

    • Pedant says:

“It appears the choice will be Trudeau or homeless poverty”

Or they can sell the property they obviously couldn’t afford in the first place, and use the proceeds to move to less expensive lodgings and live within their means. Rather than expect the government to bail them of their bad decision with taxpayer money.

In fairness, lending criteria were far too loose (to say the least) so it isn’t all the fault of the borrower.

  3. Robin says:

    25% not 255

  4. Richard says:

Was a great listen on my trip into Burlington and back. Keep up the great podcasts!

  5. PK says:

I’m not familiar with WE, and I’m not a conservative or an NDP, but the first kids invited to the concert should have been the disadvantaged kids. And they should be the emphasis of the charity – the real charity in Canada, it’s the privilege networks that monopolize professional opportunity – that’s charity for bratts who can’t stand on their own – These kids do that from birth but they don’t have family connections. Giving them a chance isn’t about charity – the charity is the easy ride so many privileged and connected kids get.
