KINSELLACAST 184: Mraz, Mills, Belanger on O’Terrible – plus the godlike geniuses, Chixdiggit!

  1. Ronald O'Dowd says:

    Warren,

You know the OLO strategy ain’t so hot — to say the very least — when a guy who absolutely loathes HimselfTM starts to humorously refer to you as O’TERRIBLE.

Stop digging Erin and smell the damned coffee. [2nd Request.]

  2. Ronald O'Dowd says:

Put another way, only let vaccinated MPs, Senators and staff into Parliament, as you’ve already agreed to and then drop it, fast, cause we’re losing more and more potential and actual support from Canadians with each passing day.

  3. Peter Williams says:

Just checking; Fully vaccinated: two doses or three? What about two AZ doses, do they count?

    • Ronald O'Dowd says:

      Peter,

For now, it’s two doses. But we all know thanks to the new strains, a third dose is likely before spring.

      • Peter Williams says:

Joe Biden, Kamala Harris, Governor Newsome, and others in the US, all have received booster vaccinations. Some due to age, some because they travel a lot.

Trudeau et al also travel a lot. And attend functions where not everyone is vaccinated (e.g. Glasgow). So have they received booster vaccines?

        • Ronald O'Dowd says:

          Peter,

Personally, I’d recommend holding off where this Prime Minister is concerned: the first priority, in his case, should be a brain transplant.

  4. Peter Williams says:

Tomorrow the Liberals are supposed to have their first caucus meeting. Trudeau, Telford, etc. will tell the Liberal MPs what the PMO has planned.

Undoubtedly Mr Singh will line up his MPs to follow Trudeau, cause Mr Singh truly believes Trudeau’s promises.

  5. Sean says:

5:30 BINGO! O’Toole should have dumped those knuckleheads in the lead up to the election. He could have simply refused to sign their nomination papers. He could have allowed reasonable CPC members to become candidates in those ridings. He could have had a well manufactured fight in the lead up to the election and come out smelling like a rose.
I bet he would have cleared out at least 1/2 of them by doing that and still won those seats…. since most of them are safe seats anyways.

6:00 In fairness its easier for Ford to be hardline on his caucus. He’s in government. His caucus is therefore less apt to dance around naked in the political wilderness.

15:00 Ayn Rand would have loved Vaccine Mandates…. Because they are making some people unfathomably wealthy… She *would* be opposed if Big Pharma wasn’t making a killing off of it.

20:20 But this is not a new thing…. It is only more pronounced now because of COVID. Most elected officials in Canada are wildly unprepared for their duties…. They NEED doctors and lawyers and bureaucrats to TELL them what do do. This is especially true under JT who isn’t intellectually capable of ever holding down a real job.

25:00 Debates about flags seem very First World to me… You guys are missing the point… The flags are only at half mast to bait people into saying they should not be. Are the scum running Justin’s office really that crass? Of course they are.

27:00 yes, that’s the other reason for half mast… it distracts from Tofino.

    29:10 BINGO!

    30:20 – I was in the pool!

33:40 – really good way to put it.

    34:20 – selective memory… this absolutely could’ve happened to Harper between 2004 and 2006.

35:15 – sorry… you can’t serve in this cabinet and also fake it as an advocate for women’s rights…. Anand is a disgraced Minister of Procurement and will soon be a disgraced Min. Def.. Putting sex abuse / harassment cases in the civilian system?! Yeah… Right… Ask Lucy DeCoutere how that works out.

The only big mistake with this episode is the implication that Joe and Jane Frontporch give a damn about parliamentary caucus maneuvers between elections. They couldn’t care less.

    • Ronald O'Dowd says:

      Douglas,

I’ll believe that one when I see it.

They can’t even get the signatures of 20% of caucus. That says it all.

  6. Douglas W says:

    CPC leadership race in 2022.

Which month will it be held?

  7. Ronald O'Dowd says:

    Gladu…

5,070,393. Those people took COVID-19 more seriously than Gladu. Too bad they all died after doing so.

Words fail me, to be polite.

  8. Steve Phillips says:

O’Toole is a small-timer who panics when he feels he is losing control. From the unfounded theft accusations against McKay during the leadership race, to the “We have to change” betrayal, to the morphing into Liberal Lite during the election, O’Toole has proven he’s an unstable amateur who starts flailing when he loses the plot.
Now with the ridiculous Chen letter he’s showing himself to a be a vindictive, thin-skinned bully, proving once again he can’t take the heat.
The Tories won’t win with O’Toole. He has to go.

    • Ronald O'Dowd says:

      Steve,

Sorry but it ain’t happening. Like I said, you don’t see 20% of caucus signing now do you? I rest my case.

  9. Ronald O'Dowd says:

Erin sends the right message with his Shadow cabinet. Fuck the vaccine hesitancy fools. In addition, smart move to put Pierre back in Finance. Now, crown it by working with MacKay on his future role and clear up the riding thing for next time. That’s what a strong and confident leader does.
