Mine was an unusual way of achieving closure. It happened while my Mom was still alive: one of my brothers told me that while she was hospitalized that after I left her room and said goodbye not to go back to her room if she started calling for me due to her two dementias. He said she would become too much of a handful for already short-staffed personnel. So, unfortunately, sure enough, she began calling for me while I was at the elevators. I got down to my car and paid the parking and as soon as I pulled out, I immediately began to weep and it continued all the way to my condo. When she passed about six months later, I was sad but had gotten the grief out of my system thanks to that weeping episode. Sometimes, life comes at you in the strangest ways. Almost all Moms are worth at least a billion dollars. Mine certainly was.
Warren,
