KINSELLACAST 371: Conspiracies R Us with Lilley, Mulroney, Mark, Chapin – plus Muncho, Wine Lips, Bodega NYC and more

  1. Warren,

I’ll bet plans are already underway for the next prison “suicide.” Some allege that person was the source for the most recent batch of revelations. What is most tragic is to watch each side set their sights on the other side’s prez. No one goes after both prezs, you know, the other guy’s prez and your own side’s prez.

    • Warren,

GM is ready to testify. Now that is an incredible act of bravery.

      • Warren,

Looks like Dickwad is going to issue a pardon. That should go over well. LOL. I’ll bet Dipshit will even attempt the legal absurdity of trying to pardon himself. The latter will never hold up in the courts.

      • They say she “gave up” 100 names to the Trump DOJ. That’s like handing over the bank vault’s combination to Willie Sutton…

        Next.

      • And now we learn that all intimate encounters in both Palm Beach and on the island were surreptitiously filmed for blackmail purposes. And it gets better: guess who was also a Shin Bet asset?

    • And what’s this about CocaineJrTM intimating that you know who had him killed? Wouldn’t put it past him. Not for a second.

The heat is already white hot and he now threatens the Deep State’s control. We all know what happened in 63 under similar circumstances. Termination to shut things down and make something disappear.

  2. Warren,

Carney may be able to do both provided that the appellate courts do not broaden the powers of First Nations. Right now, it’s a consultation power. Should that power ever be construed as having a veto mechanism, then large natural resource projects will be screwed in some cases. Traditional chiefs largely despise these projects.

  3. Warren,

If I had a choice between Chow and Tory, I definitely wouldn’t vote.

  4. Warren,

When the learned trial judge erred in law, isn’t he or she likely to be reversed on appeal? The mind boggles.

  5. Warren,

The Epstein “transcripts” will be the modern equivalent of the Nixon Watergate “transcripts”. The blowjob story is not working in his favour.

  6. Warren,

Yes, in milk production, there is quota overproduction, and it goes down the drain because stupid government does nothing to change that to nourish the hungry or kids in school. Will Carney change that? No, he won’t.

Two other points: why dairy and chickens and not grain, canola, beef, or other farmers?

Finally, supply management ensures close to organic quality. You know all the crap in American food products, ranging from hormones and antibiotics, you name it, all the way to red dye number five. Fortunately, a ban of the latter is coming soon.

The bass is my favourite instrument(likely from listening to so much Motown). And most of very favourite songs have bass on lead. Particularly New Order/Joy Division.

Sweeping Promises track was a banger. And down the rabbit hole I go. If you are of a certain vintage you would recognize the opening few beats:

9th generation Quebecois here. It’s hilarious that Alberta is the black sheep of confederation while Quebec holds us up for ransom on various and sundry issues on a regular basis. The word “go” issue was particularly offensive. The dairy and poultry cabal are only one step removed form a mafioso family.

I have known a few newbie politicians over the years who think that all they have to do is go into negotiations with indigenous leaders with good intentions and that will be enough. Thy get disavowed of that fairly quickly, usually with extreme prejudice. As Carney is currently finding out.

The increase in spending in the early 2020s was because of the plague. Plague is over. So unwind it. Seems pretty basic to me.

  9. Curious v says:

I think carney can enhance our infrastructure and still get support from progressive voters. Poilievre wouldn’t be able to do it without severe backlash, but people trust carney – I think that’s his big advantage is that people trust in carney as a person and and they trust his instincts as a professional.

    • Curious,

The population’s trust in Carney is a mile wide and an inch deep. As long as he delivers he’s good. But if he blows the next FTA, blaming it all solely on Trump won’t cut the mustard.

      • Douglas+W says:

        Ronald,
        Trump does not negotiate.
He tells the other side what he wants, and then he takes out the 2 by 4 and pounds away until he gets what he wants.
There will be some goodwill posturing in the end.
        (Smart business practice)
        But Elbows Up Carney, delivering?
        Not a snowball’s chance

        • Douglas,

Absolutely, I expect any new FTA to be such thin gruel that Carney will have no political option but to walk away and call it a bad deal for Canada. It will hurt him to some extent because if the PM can’t deliver the goods, then that means no one in this government can deliver the goods. As a last resort, I would send Freeland in there. She would make Trump blow a gasket and might just be able to arm wrestle a deal. No one else has a chance in hell. Freeland is the Liberal’s best trade negotiator by far.

        • Damn. Liberals’

          Getting old folks…

        • I would restore Freeland as Deputy Prime Minister before sending her to DC. That would be the perfect fig leaf and pretext for letting her loose against Trump.

  10. Martin,

Quebec and Alberta are both my way or the highway provinces. Exact same mentality except that AB has little political clout federally. Meanwhile, Ontario never has to say that because this joke of a federation was set up to favour Ontario in the first place. When the bigwigs talk about “Canada”, they really mean Canada-ONTARIO.

  11. Martin,

It shows Carney is from Planet X. The rest of them Liberals know that the way to government is by buying people off with their own money. So, Carney’s sudden enthusiasm for reducing spending or making cuts won’t last long or amount to much.

  12. Warren,

The leader and the deputy leader are wing nuts. It’s for the judge to determine their sentence, not jackass politicians who support craven law breakers posing as law respecting truckers. I hope they each get at least a year with no possibility of parole for twelve months. Canadians do not now and did not before support these assholes. Our two wing nuts should go back to delivering coffee and donuts. With their incredible lack of judgement neither is suited for anything else. What lousy MPs. Why don’t they just make it even more obvious by licking their asses. Yes sir, Warren! No one is going to vote for this crop of dimwits and losers in the next election. Not a chance. Thanks for making Carney smile once again you clueless morons…

  13. Warren,

Those of you who are sane CPC members, take a stand and raise your voice against these losers who have already condemned us to another election loss. Vote against this idiot in the byelection and rid us of this asshole at review. The party and its supporters DESERVE much better than this jackass.

  14. Derek Pearce says:

Oh god no please no more John Tory. Chow is particularly disappointing with her silence on the antisemitism occurring in Toronto, and her caving to Etobicoke and North York about sixplexes. But as far as the city looking rougher than it used to, we had 13 years of Rob Ford and then John Tory and their very poor funding of city services (multiple slow-zones on the subway ring a bell? Underfunding basic TTC maintenance.) Chow rightly had to hike property taxes* to try start playing catch-up after years and years of below-inflation increases. But what a terrible set of options if it’s her vs Tory in the next election.

*which is a terrible way to in general to try to fund city services.

    • Martin Dixon says:

Sophie’s choice. Again, thank god I got out and have literally no reason to go there.

      • Derek Pearce says:

Well I’m not with you on that point, I love my city and will always live here. But it can be a lot better with better leadership.

        • Martin Dixon says:

Joke(ish) although I hate the drive in. It was the 5th out of 7 cities or towns I lived in before I turned 16. Likely why I am not a big fan of change. Markland Woods in West Etobicoke. We had been there 4 years(65-69 and spent a year in Scarberia from 62-63) and loved it there. Used to wander around alone all over the city by bus and subway regularly during that 4 years and I was 11 when we left. Think about doing that now. Moved to a town of 5000(Hanover). That was a bit of culture shock. Did learn to love every place I got dragged to though.

  15. Warren,

FYI. Martin is blocked by EmperorLoserTM. He hasn’t been able to post comments for two days.

    • Warren says:

Yes he sent me an email. No one else is having any problems, as far as I know.

    • Martin Dixon says:

Who knows what the problem was. Changed my email and restarted my computer this morning and it seems to be working. Pretty sure your friend would not waste any time blocking me. You and Kinsella on the other hand are a different story! X, however…Liberals in the biz don’t seem to appreciate my brand of snark when I call out their nonsense. Here are a few.
      Tyler Meredith
      Greg MacEachern
      Bruce Fanjoy
David Hamer(which got me a block from McCarthy’s which is kind of funny since my firm pays them 6 figures a year)
      Max Fawcett
      Frank Graves
      Bruce Anderson
      Cheri DiNovo
      Thomas Lukaszuk

And a whole pile of “Professors”. To be fair, they don’t like it when I put “Professor” in quotes. Some of the exchanges with them about tax legislation(about which most of them didn’t have a clue) were quite entertaining.

  16. Martin Dixon says:

I note with some amusement that 4 US Senators wore Taylor Swift type USA Canada friendship bracelets to Ottawa the other day. Not sure where their elbows were but that should work!

  17. Martin Dixon says:

Carney is flossing about his “hometown” today. The one that he would not run in. Elbows up.

    • Martin,

Yeah, that’s the only condition that rubbed off on our all-knowing illustrious paragon of virtue. And by the by, how is SaintByrneTM doing as the cash continues to roll in? Right, lessons LEARNED, for sure…he’s such a phoney jackass.

  18. Warren,

Apropos of nothing, most but not all people who wear baseball caps look like dorks, regardless of their age.
