    Sharp Pins-good stuff
Wet Leg-pretty tough to follow up that debut but Mangetout(I refuse not to use capital letters-no idea why that is now a thing with musicians-they seem to dislike capital letters)is a banger. For me, one banger is a successful album.
    RMFC-good stuff. Interesting cat.
The Lovely Eggs-find of the week. Based on listening stats, it looks like only friends and family are listening so far. It deserves to be as popular as Chaise Longue.
And it is ridiculous Cheap Trick can still belt one out although, I suppose they are pups compared to the Stones. Track is no Live At Budokan but it is still pretty pretty good.

My vote is for music in the podcasts.

  2. Warren,

Abbas has less than zero credibility. He’s nothing more than an 89 year old dictator. I support the PA as an interim government because it isn’t Hamas or Palestinian Islamic Jihad but here comes the BUT: if next year’s supposed elections are not run by and supervised by international authorities, then it’s all over for the PA. In addition, international forces will have to be on the ground to deal with groups who oppose a supposedly free and fair election.

  3. By the by, Rae didn’t walk out because he said it was his job to sit there and listen. Works for him, anyway.

  4. Warren,

Only 95% percent of drivers are imbeciles. Just watch them turn the corner in my lane instead of theirs…and then there’s the burning of red lights.

  5. Warren,

    Thank you, Grok:

The last time Canada Post had a profitable quarter was in 2018, specifically the first quarter (January to March), when it reported a $70 million profit before tax.

  6. Warren,

Centre-right Carney goes to a Centre-left summit. Does not compute.

  7. Warren,

Yeah, dipshit Trump will solve Palestine just like he solved Ukraine…

  8. Warren,

At this point, a Palestinian state is nothing more than window dressing, totally insignificant. Just ask yourself who controls security across all of the West Bank? I believe they are called Israel.

  9. Warren,

Only the mentally demented would consider buying Canada Post. And if they did, prices would quickly go up at least fifty percent. That’s the private sector for you.

  10. Sell Canada Post to PP. He would fit in quite naturally!

  11. Warren,

Absolutely, stick by Trump just like he stuck by us. Oh, wait…

  12. Warren,

Please. POS Trump means no deal unless Canada totally caves, Palestine or no Palestine. Complete bullshit. Trump only agrees if only Trump wins. End of story.

  13. Warren,

Semi-automatics have no place in Canada. These people are acting as if Ottawa wants them to cut off their dicks and send them to Ottawa…ridiculous. But true that most crimes are due to illegally imported guns.

  14. Warren,

Are most addicts who take fentanyl broken people? And what are we doing at a provincial and municipal level to help put them back together psychologically?

    • Curious v says:

Agreed – but I don’t think we should tolerate public consumption. I get sick of seeing fucked up people on public transit. I’d like to see more rehab centres and dealing with homelessness – they have to have a home before tackling addiction.

    • Paige says:

Herein lies the flaw in reacting to the fentanyl crisis.
These people are permanently broken, they cannot be fixed.
And it’s sad the irreparable damage can happen to first time users not just entrenched drug addicts. No hope.

  15. Warren,

Those who watch the terrorist footage will need counselling after that. Know it BEFORE you watch the footage. I can’t ever watch it. I’m not psychologically strong enough to deal with it. It would quite literally break me for good.

My vote is for MORE music in the podcasts.

“Give them an inch and they take a mile” and “No good deed goes unpunished” are one and the same.

There is so much stupidity on Twitter about this “story”, I may have to shut off my devices:

    https://www.ctvnews.ca/toronto/consumer-alert/article/daughter-hit-with-660000-tax-bill-when-both-parents-died-in-same-year/

    And it is equal opportunity.

    • Martin,

      ?

I thought the tax man could only go after the estates unless she was a guarantor or co-signer.

      • Martin Dixon says:

It is just tax on the final return. They made a pile on their second home and the value of their RRIF had to come in. Likely worth well in excess of 3 million dollars so probably your typical whiny elbows up tru-anon that literally has no clue what the real world is like.

  17. Robin says:

Keep the great episodes and music coming.
    cheers,
    robin
