Watch your back, Iggy – Warrenmania is sweeping, er, India

“Outside parliament Wednesday, ministers and ruling party leaders ran away from the media, saying that the matter was decided by the court. Opposition Liberal Party leader Warren Kinsella said acquittal of the former MP shows that there are two set of laws in Canada – one for the common man and another for influential people.”

UPDATE: My friend Delacourt spots another bit of fun. Me? I’m on my Challenger, heading to Calgary to pick up a pizza for Kevin Bosch.

Almost as inaccurate as referring to Helena Guergis as Minister responsible for the status of women.

  2. Chris Sullivan says:

    …You know you’re going to have a good self-esteem day when…

I wonder what foreign media have claimed I am head of the company I work for. I better waste a good part of the day at the office checking.

Of course there is a two-tier justice system; exactly like there is a two tier health system. It is the way the Liberals designed it; Conservatives have been trying to change it for decades but the Liberals refused to do anything about it. Now, maybe because a Conservative used the system to skate free, Liberals somehow see a problem. Let’s hope they stop blocking change and do what is right – OK, stop laughing, I know it isn’t likely – Liberals doing something right is an oxymoron

Ron, ya, it’s OK but I can’t stop laughing. Your Con default position “But the Liberals …..but…” Talk about moron, oxy- or otherwise.

      • Barcs says:

And yet you will still condemn the Tories for those actions refuse to vote for them based on it,…. and throw support to the other people who did the same thing…… “Talk about moron, oxy- or otherwise.” ….. yup

Sorry to hijack this, but have you seen punk rock photo exhibit yet?

I want to be your first appointed Senator. And I want a Senate seat for my wife, both near the aisle for bathroom breaks. I’m tired of working.

    • Warren says:

No probs. How about a dedicated Challenger, for the two of you to zip around Turks and Caicos?

        • Eugene Parks says:

I’ve got dips on the second Challenger.

          • BobbyB says:

The Challenger offer is great but I’m not interested in touring the Turks and Caicos. As a member of the politigencia I’d rather fly to each and every Canadian Tim Hortons for a photo op and be allowed to land on any GD road/highway I want starting with the 401 and then taxi past the drive thru window at Tims for a double-double! That would top anything that fancy fool financial flaherty could ever do!

  6. James Halifax says:

    Turks and Caico’s?

Isn’t that where Paul Martin and his gang stashed all their loot to avoid taxes????

    • auntie-em-m says:

And you Cons must stash your loot at Tim Horton’s … all those flying visits, eh?

      • BobbyB says:

Actually the loot gets stashed in the new Mulroney Beige 8.5 x 4 envelopes that are gifts at each and every Conservative hush funds raiser. These envelopes come with instructions in English and Albertan on how to insert the funds into the envelope in a smooth non-slimey manner and then how to bypass CRA when questioned about where you got the funds from! These envelopes are all the rage since the budget was tabled!

FWIW, Steam Whistle has free beer in the afternoon, after you do the tour. Joe would have loved it.

  8. Roman says:

funny Warren, but maybe we need to cut the interviewer some slack. Could be that in the absence of a leader of the official opposition anyone can now fit the bill:-)

  9. Derek Lipman says:

    LMAO

  10. Elizabeth says:

That’s so funny; maybe Warren has a higher profile in India than he realized.

Not a great omen for Harper’s new Youtube outing. Maybe he subconsciously wishes it was Ignatieff carrying on the conversations instead.
    Interesting.

Found this in the online Barrie Examiner, thebarrieexaminer.com

    Online News Poll
Should Simcoe Grey MP Helena Guergis lose her cabinet post over her outburst in an airport?

    Definitely
    Give her a break

So far 64 votes for Definitely and 11 for giving her a break

  12. billg says:

They only asked Opposition Leader Warren Kinsella because Justice Minister Tie Domi could not be reached for comment…simmer down everyone.

  13. Elizabeth says:

Shouldn’t Helena at least have to go for a court-ordered anger management course? That doesn’t seem right that a rage attack like that – apart from the fact that she insulted, intimidated and frightened airport staff — a rage attack like that should not go by without comment, and without punishment.

If Helena were doing this at home, and if she were an ordinary citizen, and a member of her family laid assault charges – or maybe in a gym or something, she could quite likely be looking at having to (after the court case) go to have her anger dealt with. Why isn’t this happening?

And if there is cocaine in the family, obviously, then what effect is this having on her – is there any connection between cocaine use and rage? Maybe the rage is brought on by dealing with a husband who’s got a drug problem, or maybe she has one herself.

Either way — there is a serious issue with these two people. Two of the most common problems in Canada today – which add to domestic abuse, to bullying issues, to job problems — drug use, drinking too much, irresponsible driving and behaviour — and lashing out in a rage attack at whoever gets in your way.

    There are obviously no consequences.

I’d vote for you Warren but I enjoy you verbally batting poor t. powers around to much.
