—The Ledge, god-like genius
Below, the Legendary Stardust Cowboy playing ‘Paralyzed’ on Laugh In. He got mad when they started making fun of him, and he stormed out.
This man, The Ledge, inspired us in the 1970s and beyond. He didn’t just invent psychobilly, he arguably invented punk rock.
‘Paralyzed’ is one of the greatest songs ever committed to vinyl. If you don’t see that, I don’t want to hear from you.
Will SFH do a cover version?
Awesome!
Wow – and he read Zanesville, “fantastic book”. Would love to buy him a beer:)
Like Jandek with drums.
I do so miss Handsome Ned.
and apparently also an inspiration for an early Bowie creation:

Not going to debate about the merits of the Stardust Cowboy, but this clip proves again that Laugh In was probably the funniest, most cutting-edge variety show in television history.
