—Not dead yet
Some Ottawa-based reporters have tweeted that former Habs coach Pat Burns is dead.
Post mortem, as it were, it’s been interesting to see a few of these selfsame Twitterers insinuating that the technology is somehow to blame. It’s a modern twist on the “guns don’t kill people, people kill people” canard.
I guess.

According to The Star’s Damian Cox (whose tweet was the first time I heard of the “death”) it was Cliff Fletcher who announced it this morning during the Leafs Training Camp.

Yup, burned by the force of twitter and rapid media. Then again Warren, and I am sure that you’ll agree, Pat being in the Magog region with his family is as about as close to heaven as you can get without actually being there…

Keep fighting the good fight coach!

The Sun had a full fleged obit up for awhile. Hopefully, when Mr. Burns does go (and hopefully that’s not for a while yet) they don’t just reuse it.
