I think this is how baseball fans must feel when the Yankees lose – vindicated, a sense of justice in the sporting world, like a little bit of karma has been restored in the world.
I was also glad to see them earn this defeat. The biggest question is where to they go from here? Increase the bench depth, but they have most of their cap tied up in their big two and that other guy that rarely gets mentioned in the news anymore. Replace Spoelstra I guess, but there aren’t many coaches not named Jackson or Riley that can contain thos egos. the former is unlikely, the latter possible.
Did you notice and understand why Dirk sprinted to the locker room at the whistle instead of celebrating with his team-mates.
One of the Miami papers pulled a “Dewey Defeats Truman” this morning and ran a full page ad giving congrats to the new NBA Champions, Miami Heat. Too funny.
