The job killers

Really, “unsuitable for political office” face captures? AND a (faked) digitally altered “devilish” smoke stack photo? This is the stupidest campaign material since the Federal 2005 election’s “guns in our cities”.

There is an idiot wind blowing. In NYC solar is now cheaper than grid, at $0.12/KWH. That is likely close to the actual cost of power in Toronto. Pay now or pray later.

  3. Dave Roberts says:

Ironically those smoke stacks are likely from the very same coal fired electicity plants McGuinty promised to shut down.

Uh…. what “clean energy economy?” What jobs? There is NO clean energy economy. For there to be such a thing, “green energy” needs to be economically viable and it is not. Not by a long shot.

What people need to remember is that the Europeans have been down this road in the past, having had Greens in power federally in some cases. Their experience has been that that the minute the government subsidies stop, so does the mythical “clean energy economy.”

Wind and solar will never be capable of furnishing more than a tiny fraction of Ontario’s energy needs (at an exorbitant cost premium,) and the sooner we realize that, the less painful and costly it will be for all of us.

    • Are you kidding or is it just that you get your information from Fox News? Maybe you’d say Germany is a backward country for trying this but they do have Europe’s largest economy and in the top 5 world wide.

Check out the references in the wiki entry for this –

      – the share of electricity produced from renewable energy in Germany has increased from 6.3 percent of the national total in 2000 to about 17 percent in 2010.

      – their target for renewable electricity is 85% of their electricity needs by 2050 and renewable energy to account for 60% of their energy needs by 2050.

      – according to official figures, some 370,000 people in Germany were employed in the renewable energy sector in 2010, This is an increase of around 8 percent compared to 2009 (around 339,500 jobs), and well over twice the number of jobs in 2004 (160,500).

Hahahahaha. That’s a great ad, go with it.

Nothing like Liberals reminding voters that their Hydro Bills have exploded under McGuinty and it’s time for Professionals to define Power Generation Policy not “Global Warming” Propaganda-Brainwashed Liberal Lawyers.

PS: For real impact, you could change the tag line: “50,000 Taxpayer Funded Jobs on the line! Shut up and get back to work splitting logs to heat your home this winter you private sector trolls!”

    • steve says:

The reason power bills have risen has nothing to do with green energy, those plans are not online yet, it was cleaning up the Harris Hudak mess that cost all the money.

    • CJ says:

Gotta go ith GetReal here. Dalton really doesn’t want to talk about “green energy” or “green jobs” this time.

  6. Tiger says:

“Harper and Layton: two sides of the same coin”?

  7. Robert K. says:

Looks like a good bus shelter ad to me.

  8. Wes says:

If this is poster is any indication of the quality of the Liberal campaign, I can only assume that the Liberals will be going down in flames on October 6, and Hudak or even Horwath will be the next premier of Ontario.
