—Ernie Eves on Tim Hudak: you’ve brought the Tea Party to Ontario
Since the weekend, Hudak’s fart-catchers had been frantically scrambling to keep Ernie Eves’ incendiary speech under wraps. Â Or, failing that, they were desperately trying to persuade Hudak’s former boss to decline to repeat his condemnation of what the PC Party has become.
They failed.
So much for Timmy’s plan to get a week’s head start on the election, and some good coverage.
Ernie Eves Earned Media Is Everywhere!
Did someone say tea party?
You must be a university student. Grow up please.
I have never been more confused…
I’m not a university student. I’m a U.S. president being perverted by idiots to make a dumb point.
Warren, if Tim Hudak is bringing Tea Party USA politics to Canada, try to give me one policy that would qualify.
Check out the Landowners Association… it is pretty Libertarian. Hudak has given them a huge amount of influence.
Furthermore, Hudak allowed OLA head Jack MacLaren to unseat veteran Tory MPP Norm Sterling from his Carleton—Mississippi Mills, a riding he’s held for the Conservatives since 1977. This move is precisely what Mr Eves was referencing with his statement that Hudak is bringing Tea-Party style politics to Ontario. Replacing long-time party veterans with radical libertarians is very much a tea-party thing.
Low taxes, huge deficits, corporate donations, and high stupidity.
The split on the right has to be a major unwelcomed event for the Ontario PCs at this time. Probably will also have large reverberations at the federal level before PMSH’s terms is out.
The ‘split’ was already bubbling during John Tory’s leadership, but the PCs managed to keep it relatively quiet and contained. It’s now starting to come out in public with Hudak’s poll numbers dropping as they have. Basically the remaining members of the old (and hugely successful) Big Blue machine are not amused with Hudak’s direction of the party since winning the leadership.
Thomas Jefferson, Tea Party, Thomas Jefferson, Tea Party,Thomas Jefferson, Tea Party,Thomas Jefferson, Tea Party,Thomas Jefferson, Tea Party,Thomas Jefferson, Tea Party,Thomas Jefferson, Tea Party……
…even in this digital age of iPods, and SD cards there are still a few broken records around. Actually I am sort of happy about that, it keeps the discussion interesting.
A former colleague told me once that Ernie Eves reminds her of Paulie Walnuts from The Sopranos. So I guess we can say that Hudak has been whacked by Paulie Walnuts.
