Politics has become a large mud ball of quotes, gotcha reporting and hyperbole that it drives people away rather than engaging the populous. And we wonder why voter turn out has been declining in elections for levels of government. A sane person doesn’t play with a mud ball or more descriptive for politics would be a “ball of sh*t”.
When the far right meets the far left, Alice in Wonderland appears to ask a question: What is going on?
This marriage of far right and far left, as was the case with Harper and Layton, to destroy the liberal centre is not health for Canadian democracy or for moderate voters.
Every far right and far left politician is looking after themselves rather than the interest of the Ontarian and Canadian communities.
You destroy the centre and you destroy any and all civility in Canadian society.

I think Ronald Reagan said it best,
‘..there is no such thing as a left or right. There is only an up or down.’
Even with all the talk about occupying the middle ground, having a ‘big tent’, beating the other guy, being the alternative etc., politicians have effectively managed to lose sight of what’s really important.
If you’re going to pull that shit, do it in a rental car, and for god’s sake make sure it’s a car made in Ontario.
