The “Change Tim Hudak” bus! (Updated)

Awww!  Someone got a photo of Fratboy Tim’s shiny new gas-guzzler – and now his new event this morning is ruined!  Damn!

Personally, I love the “Change Tim Hudak” stuff at the front.  It neatly captures what many PCs have been saying after Tim blew his lead this Summer.

UPDATE: I’m hearing a lot of similar comments. What do you think?

  1. Queue the Talking Heads: “We’re on a ro-oad to no-where…”

or, for those who just can’t get enough Beatles:

Queue George Harrison: “If you don’t know where you’re goin’…any road’ll take you there”.

  2. Nelson says:

I find it interesting that Timmy pleaded with McGuinty to keep personal (family) out of the campaign, then he goes and plasters his family’s faces on the bus.

You can’t have it both ways Timmy! As far as I’m concerned Mike Harris’ right-hand-man is now fair game.

This is what you get when you put Norm Sterling and Bill Davis in charge of bus design.

    • Michael S says:

If Bill Davis was in charge of bus design, it would be just blue with a hint of red, go at moderate speeds, and would never be driven erratically or to extremes. That bus would be a winner.

I’m pretty sure I saw this bus parked on Preston St. in Ottawa a few weeks ago. Thought it was odd.

  5. Emily M says:

    More to the point,

You don’t know where you’ll get to if you go with THIS bus.

On my list of Things That I Hate: number 37 – when politicians use pictures of their families for campaign propaganda. I hate that. Especially giant pictures on a bus. It”s very upsetting for me.

    • The Doctor says:

That’s unfortunate that that upsets you, because that is never, ever going to go away. JFK and the whole Camelot schtick, Dick Nixon and the Checkers speech, this sort of stuff has been part of the standard politician’s repertoire for ages.

  7. W.B. says:

Are they going to roll the big blue bus into Ipperwash, do some campaigning, maybe hold a little rally?

  8. Rob says:

This election and the rhetoric is starting to get boring.

  9. Iris Mclean says:

On the other hand, maybe it’s a good thing that Hudat displays a big picture of who he hangs out with.
The toddler is totally innocent and is just being used as a prop. I’d love to see the reactions when the big blue bus swings through Ipperwash and Walkerton.

    • JStanton says:

I’m reasonably certain that even these guys get it that they should avoid places where Conservatives have killed children.

      .

      • Iris Mclean says:

Tim and Deb might want to avoid Sudbury too, where Kimberly Rogers died for the crime of receiving a student loan and social assistance at the same time.

  10. Nelson: Yes, I’m thinking of a particular “Sweetheart deal” a certain now spouse got in the – wait, was it the…electricity sector? Ah, but Hudak’s not made any mention of sweetheart deals in the context of electricity…er, um, nevermind.

Searching for gold but coming up empty handed the leader of a survey party in Northern Ontario finds he must motivate his men. Morale is low what with no sight of civilization for weeks and the leader realizing they’re now lost. One day he announces,

‘Men, keep your spirits up! We all know we haven’t seen base camp in weeks and we’re short of supplies and it seems we’re lost. But I have good news – today we’re all going to have a change of underwear.

Cheers all around until they hear,

‘Joe, you change with Stan, Stan you change with Frank, Frank you change with Michael.’

‘Change’. It’s all coming crashing back to me now.

  12. Lord Kitchener says:

that shitty bus screams Sarah Palin – I would love to see a demolition derby between the two busses.
