Didn’t Rocco Rossi try to go from the backroom of the Liberal Party to Toronto mayoral candidate? How well did he do? Why is he running as a Tea-Party Con?
1) local NDP candidate is practicing recycling by using old federal campaign signs. NDP candidate is same one, BUT, the federal signs, if you recall have Jack Layton’s name in the top-right green corner – nothing like trying to hang on to the federal NDP’s Orange Mush. Looks a bit like a desperate move by a local NDP campaign short on money OR blatantly politicizing Jack’s death (he would be so proud)
2) in one of those moments when I wished I’d had a camera or cellphone on me I couldn’t believe what I saw when I drop a kid off at university last week. In a residence lobby there was a poster advertising the upcoming Terry Fox run. Overlapping the poster someone had added a cut-out over the top of Terry’s shoulder reading “RUN FOR JACK LAYTON”. After the eye-roll and possible exploiting of the event by an NDP supporter, I got to thinking that likely none of the students in that rez. could likely identify with Terry Fox or were even born when he was alive and made his cross-country run.
those aren’t Harper signs adorning the highways and some residents around here.
Note also that the new NDP signs have no green on them – just a nice blue accent. Could it be that the NDP have seen the light at are distancing themselves from the disaster that is anything resembling “green” things.
Topp to bottom?
“Reach For The Topp”? (apologies to the Ceeb)
“Hop On Topp”? (apologies to Dr. Seuss)
“On Topp Of Old Smokey”? (apologies to the guy that wrote that song)
wait…hold on…there’s gotta be more…
Topp Dog. Topp of the Pops.
Topp of the mornin’ to him.
And the rest of the day for McGuinty.
I’m the Topp! I’m the old Montreal Forum!
I’m The Topp! I will never bore ’em!
Harper will be a bottom with Topp at the rostrum…

The NDP blatantly politicize Jack’s death? Really? 🙂
The NDP didn’t politicize Jack’s death any more than Harper did.

Simple is always best with these sorts of things:
(Please somebody) STOP TOPP!
well what do you know – Horwath urges candidates to stop using Layton – too late for my riding and the rez. at U.Western

I don’t remember hearing the term “elfin” but Randy White was a very small man indeed.
Apologies to Randy White. I meant Ted.
