Oh, look, the politician on the left is using his hands in a debate

I recall he ended up doing alright.  The other two, not so much.

BREAKING: Senior Liberal staffer makes a crucial gramatical error.

Ontario families can no longer afford Dalton McGuinty’s sloppy grammar and job killing tax hikes.

    • sj says:

      I think you mean grammatical.

    • Ted H says:

Tax Hikes! Are you perhaps talking about the HST which for 90% of items we buy simply combines the two taxes we were already paying?

Do you really think a Conservative Ontario government would even seriously consider removing a tax regimen that their Federal big brothers paid the province 5 billion dollars to put in place. If they even hint at it they are out and out liars.

There wouldn’t be many jobs in the wreckage the PC’s would create in the province. Their talking points are such obvious bullshit that I really don’t know how anyone with a brain in their head and a beating heart in their body could even consider voting Conservative.

“There are two kinds of Conservatives, millionaires and suckers”

Someone is living in the past.

Yep knocked her down to two seats…lets hope history repeats itself.

    • The Doctor says:

Unless there’s an Ontario Reform Party competing for and splitting the Conservative vote, that’s extremely unlikely.

      • Pete says:

There may just be Tory vote splitting as the progreessives don’t like the tea party types taking over the party and may either sit on their hands or vote for Dalton. They slao don’t want dippers to slip up the middle

        • The Doctor says:

Yes, that probably will occur in some instances. But that’s not going to result in an apocalyptic Conservative wipeout/decimation a la 1993. Except maybe in your wet dreams.

Someone’s feeling a little touchy this morning. Must be the Ipsos poll.

As I recall, Ms. Campbell came across as a screeching harridan(which was rather unusual)…”What are you afraid of?” she shrieked….M. Chretien looked into the camera and responded with a simple shrug……the effect was withering, and I knew at that point M. Chretien had won the evening…..

He had the body language down to a science…..

  6. Brad says:

Hudak should have taken whatever drug Harper used during the federal debate. Harper was zoned out, but I guess it worked

  7. AP says:

Good to see that the world’s most terrible debate sets is a Canadian tradition going back almost twenty years. How the leaders allowed themselves to placed on the set last night boggles my mind. It was bad enough that McGuinty and Hudak were surrounded by two columns that looked like something from my 8th grade woodworking class but the fact that Dalton McGuinty had a black background for the entire evening was just too much. THE. WORST. DEBATE. SET. EVER.

The other two, not so much.

Oh I don’t know, Manning has done ok for himself overall (and I say that as one who was a PC supporter at the time, who wasn’t exactly thrilled to see Preston do as well as he did back then…)
