   Sounds like you may have enabled the Twitter Extension in Safari. Choose Safari > Preferences > Extensions and look for something that’s called Twitter or maybe even “auto refresh.” Click disable. Done.

   So, if you are using Safari, you have blocked location services, thoroughly, right? otherwise, don’t use it on the web, get an app like tweetdeck, or osfoora or something. Safer, and easier to stop the scrolling and auto refreshing

   Yeah; don’t use Safari 🙂 Seriously though, Chrome or Firefox are a lot better IMO
