Leslie Noble on the Hudak campaign

Leslie is one of the smartest political operators in this country.  She is also someone not to be trifled with.

That’s why her comments in today’s big Ontario Newswatch exclusive are a real eye-opener:

Ms. Noble denied having any significant role in the campaign.

“If you’re asking me were Leslie Noble, Paul Rhodes and Tom Long running that campaign?  Not a chance in hell.  Am I glad I’m not running the campaign? Yup,” she told ontarionewswatch.com.

“I don’t need to take calls like this on a Sunday fucking night…What kind of a horse-shit story is this?” she asked.

Will Tea Party Tim Hudak make it through his leadership review?  I sure hope so.  But, increasingly, I am wondering if he will.

Now, with the leg being back, at what time today will Timmy repeat his intention to defeat the government?  Guesses, anyone?  Let’s have a contest!

After reading that article, I’d be surprised if he had m uch of anything to say today.
    But, how about 4:45pm.

  2. Cynical says:

Sorry, but these people lie and distort the truth for a living. Why is this credible?
As I recall, the term at the time for this group was “the little shits”

Not questioning your judgement, WK, just wondering why in this instance anything they say should be believed. We had years of the Big Lie under Harris.

As smart as she is, she does not have much class – surely she can find another way to express herself without using profanities. She said it all when she answered “Am I glad I’m not running the campaign?”

My guess is that as soon as the Speaker is known, Timmy will claim that the Speaker was chosen by the opposition, to keep the Liberals on a short leash. THEN he will tell us the Liberals didn’t want this particular Speaker, and therefore are not listening to the wishes of the people or opposition, and so must be defeated at the earliest convenience. (of course, the convenience being his convenience)

Thought this might be a good time for a reprise….http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=whHHBPWHUVg

Sadly, Mr. Kinsella’s Krew rap version is no long available on youtube…..Id love to be able to hear that again…..

When Ontario politicians and journos. stop fighting the flipping election and get the hell to work I’ll start paying attention again. Until then I’ll remain more turned off and tuned out of provincial politics than I’ve EVER been.
A fire needs lighting by all parties – not just one.

    • Shaun says:

Judging from the substance of any of your past comments on this site, I’d never be one to accuse you of being tuned in at all.

      • Cath says:

I suppose your response would matter to me if I based any value at all on any type of “judging” of opinion by you…..I don’t.

        • Chris says:

Yet you took the time to respond. I’m giving Shaun the point on this one.

          • Cath says:

I don’t, and here’s why. Anyone at all tune-in to politics would know that there are many, many, many more like me in Ontario these days. What Shaun’s response does is turn those people off, rather than giving them a reason to stay involved and connected.

His response and yours works against breathing much needed life back into engaging citizens back into provincial politics.

Shaun and you would know that if you have your ears to the ground. By all accounts – no point for Shaun.

The so-called whiz kids arent so smart after all …..their man had a 15 point lead last fall and he blew it following their advice. But if you read the article they sure had no qualms getting their share of the pie. People have forgotten how Hudak’s wife and Tom Long made a quick buck during the entire Hydro One mess. The whiz kids sense of entitlement is really amazing and why the press has never gone after them is a mystery to me.

  8. Thomas says:

Warren, may I ask why you hope Tim Hudak will survive the leadership review?

I personally think that the (unelected) “reign” of the red-Tories is about to come to an abrupt end!

My guess is that Ms. Horwath and Mr. Hudak will team up to push for a drop the HST from heating bills play, get some concessions in this sitting. Both will claim the glory, and then sometime in February Mr. Hudak will start messaging again about how he will hold Mr. McGuinty’s feet to the fire on public sector wages or will be forced to bring down the government at the next possible opportunity for the sake of the economy. Can’t see any such opportunity until at least 2013 and only if Ms. Horwath loses focus. Just my view. Thoughts?
