Lefties

Most U.S. presidents have been left-handed, did you know that?

Personally, I think lefties should be burned at the stake, like in the good old days. Among other things, it would provide a bit of extra space on public transit in the mornings.

What’s your view? Lefties, we don’t care what you think. (Hey! I sound like Gord Tulk!)

Usually, if you leave them alone they’ll accidentally kill themselves in a goofy and humorous fashion. Evolution works quick on these folk.

I’m thinking of filing a human rights complaint against my former university. As a Leftie, I remember being forced to write 3 hour long exams on chairs with right sided writing tables, because they didn’t have any left sided chairs. Oh the humanity. Also, everytime I see some wannabe Leftie wearing their watch on their right arm, I smirk. Face it. All you righties wish you were cool luck us.

Given brain lateralization, we lefties are the only ones in our right minds.

Three mechanics who have been able to keep me and my ride moving with little if necessary work and have rarely hurt themselves.
I can only claim that sinisterism is the only trait I share with them.
They are great with the other hand too.
Funny how lefties tend to be able to use both – the definition being typically based on hand-writing.
Which is now flying out the window with new technology.

How about this theory? It might explain why so many lefties are right handed in other respects such as holding a bat or golf club, using a computer mouse or using cutlery.

(More recently, psychologists and neurologists have tried to find a biological basis for left-handedness. One theory, proposed by Marian Annett in the 1970s, held that handedness could be explained by a notion of dominant and recessive traits, much in the way that brown and blue eyes are. Right-handedness, like brown eyes, would be a dominant trait. The twist: Left-handedness was not the recessive trait. Rather, the recessive trait was a genetic indifference to hand preference. If you receive one copy of the dominant allele from your parents, you’ll turn out to be right-handed, but if you receive two copies of the recessive allele, then it becomes a toss up between left-handedness and right-handedness.)

Stephen Harper is right handed. That should make all the other right handed people ashamed.

Changing the subject for the moment “…A few love padlocks on Toronto’s Humber Bridge conquered the parks department’s merciless loppers during an early morning removal operation…A crew of four workers, each in their own vehicles and clad in orange safety jackets, arrived at the Humber River foot bridge about 7:30 a.m., a nearby by resident said. Loppers in hand, parks staff cut nearly all of the 40-odd padlocks from the bridge’s cables. Only three locks remained once staff were finished.”

Ok so that’s 4 staff with 4 vehicles at 40 locks= 10 locks each. I think that is about 48 minutes per lock without deducting coffee and lunch breaks.

Is it me, or is there something wrong with this?
