Correction and apologies

My apologies for my error (which, I say in my defence, many other writers have made).  I’ve notified my editor.

Dear Warren:

I read your recent piece with interest. Just for information, the World Economic Forum is a not for profit foundation and Professor Schwab is not a billionaire, indeed his salary is below that of Switzerland’s best paid civil servant.

Kind regards,

Adrian Monck

Just because other writers have made the error doesn’t mean you have to make the error. Especially not when you are the President of Daisy Consulting Group. Sometimes simple, basic information is more reliable …

But I am sure Mr. Schwab, he sounds like a real gentleman, will accept your apology.

Um, sorry, you consider Wikipedia to be reliable? Seriously?

And what does my company have to do with it?

      • allegra fortissima says:

Wikipedia can be helpful, provided you cross-check the information, using a different method or source from the one originally used to obtain it.

Your company is also specialized in research, right? Had one of your interns made a similar error, you would have probably … exploded, maybe?

Gord the difference between Obama and others is he mispoke and they mis-think. Maybe the Republican candidates should use wikipedia daily provided the factual errors there making…polti-fact can’t keep up! Rick Santorum might have discovered that abortion doesn’t cause cancer! hilarious…

Not your biggest fan but I love your blog.

Way to man-up to the error. We could use a bit more of it out there in the blogosphere.

Keep doin’ what you do, Sir.
