Hillcrest Canadians ’99 “A” parents…

…are jerks.

What adult cheers when a young boy gets really hit, hard?

Time for some public shaming, I think.

Well…………parents are the anvil upon which youth pound out their identity, but in the case it is exactly the opposite.

Ya-shaming, shunning etc is good, but it will have very little impact as these people live vicariously through their children, seeking or recalling the glory days that were never there.

This sort of thing is happening way too often. I’m an amateur sports official (elite baseball) in my spare time. However, a few of my buddies also cover elite hockey. There is a best selling non fic. novel, just waiting to be written about the lunacy of am. sports parents in North America. Esp. hockey in Canada. Football in U.S..

Very sad indeed. One of the main reasons that my 3 boys play house league, non-contact hockey. There’s a marked difference in parents and player attitudes at the house league level.
