I am sure the Kennedy campaign will start attributing this “bounce” to him. They were touting an earlier poll that had the Liberals in 1st with GK as leader.
However, in the words of Judge Judy, I would look at this poll with a jaundiced eye. Out of all of the candidates he is the one with the most name recognition amongst the general population. The poll is only a reflection of that fact.

Personally, I don’t care as much about who wins- as long as they aren’t too damaged from the process & have the best shot at winning the general election. Last thing we need is a loony-left or extreme-right government in this province.
The most fiscally conservative yet socially progressive candidate will have the best shot. Ontarians know we’re broke, they get it. Shared pain can’t be avoided. First candidate to tell it like it is rather than soapy political one-liners wins the hearts & minds.

I thought that Kennedy’s campaign were just touting a previous Forum poll that showed that the Liberals would lose slightly less badly if GK were leader. If there were a poll in which Kennedy vaunted the Liberals to first place a I’d like to see it.
