Baseless Rob Ford speculation thread

Hmmm.

Given how completely wrong the Globe was on Pupatello’s liquor sales statement – ie., they claimed the exact opposite of what she said, in both headline and story, and have yet to publish a correction, despite having been sent a full transcript – I am actually feeling a bit sympathetic towards The World’s Worst Mayorâ„¢. Hard to believe, but true.

But that doesn’t stop the rest of us from speculating recklessly about what the top secret blockbuster story is about, does it? Speculate away, Team wk.com!

    Sandusky/Paterno related?

( Just kidding, Ford is not that bad, just dumb )

I wish I was “in the know” enough to speculate. I’m looking forward to finding out what it is, though!

Only 10 comments on the Pupatello’s post and more than 30 on the Ford’s stolen picture. I guess your readers prefer to indulge in personal attacks about private life or physical appearance than to engage in a conversation about media bias. It’s so easy to laugh, it’s so easy to hate, it takes guts to be gentle and kind.

People despise your hero, in a way that I have never seen before. Deal with it.

” it takes guts to be gentle and kind.” And there it is in a nutshell. Ford has made a career out of hatred and intolerance. Q’elle surpirse! it is reciprocated. I have some gay friends, I know people who commute by bicycle. Plenty of honest people are in unions and/or work for the City. Th elist goes on of Ford targets. They have been lumped together and pissed on by Ford, and his crony’s. The politics of hatred and division are truly detestable. So now you actually know why reasonable, balanced people like myself are filled with wrath at the mention of the word FORD.

What? You were expecting a greater reaction in that other comments section to your not-at-all-sarcastic comment in the following post?

Wow. Did you come up with “Lieberal” yourself? Because it’s *brilliant*. You should host AM talk radio. You’re a regular P. J. O’Rourke.

Also, we call upon you for an explanation as to how “it takes guts to be gentle and kind,” when in the the previous sentence you painted a vast swath of us smelly misanthropic miscreants. ‘Cause, y’know… the irony.

It’s hard to imagine a sexual scandal, however plus-sized people do have their needs. I suspect economic malfeasance, perhaps involving the family firm and another company doing business with the City. Casinos need lots of signs and labels. How long must we wait before the juicy bits come out?

  7. james Smith says:

I wonder if it’s something to do with their radio show.

  8. bluegreenblogger says:

Maybe Ford is a doppleganger, put into power by Conservative Aliens? Maybe it is someones hyperbole that went viral, and will soon be revealed by a red-faced rumour monger as a non-scandal. Time shall tell if it is all for nought. If there is anything deadly on the horizon, I would expect it to be campaign finance, or electoral misdeeds. There is an election audit to hear from yet. Knowing who was involved in the Ford campaign, there is every chance such things happened. In politics, it normally requires an insider to spill the beans, so maybe that is what it is about.

He sends a staffer to a library to borrow Michael Ignatieff’s books.

Rob Ford ate Dean Del Mastro

I think the media is sitting on a mountain of stories.
