Well, the point of who is a winner or loser for 2012 isn’t really important.
We’ll have the usual detractors, but the fact remains, Harper is the PM…and he has a majority. That means that regardless of what individual pundits say, or point out…..the PM is a winner, the Liberals will have to be satisfied with being future winners, whereas the NDP are, and will always be losers.
Other winners of note: Taxpayers, and other folks who actually make a contribution to society.
I liked your bullet point on Bev Oda – but I wish you’d had more time on-air to elaborate on what a train wreck she is/was. $16 orange juice is just the beginning. She epitomizes everything people hate about politicians, and she’s probably singularly set back the public’s trust of politicians by a decade, just by (as you say) existing.
Since the federal Liberals still don’t seem to know where they are going (or how to get there), don’t underestimate Mulcair, who is much more focused. But a testy Opposition leader can get as overexposed as a testy Prime Minister.

Canadian democracy is the obvious total loser under the Harpercon regime.
Harper was elected democratically….
You just disagreed with the outcome.
We’ll see if he was or not. Election fraud may be proven yet.

Swervin’ Merv,
I think testy goes way beyond this year’s crop of potential or actual prime ministers. If memory serves, PET had his moments and who can forget Dief…
(I’ll bet Marjory could tell us a few doozies.)
