It’s a lot of laughs until you recall Planet of the Apes started like this

Cute little fella, fer sure…looks like a Japanese Macaque to me. I just hope the owners are allowed to keep him because their home is now (and probably has been all his life) his ‘troop’.

I’ve heard of too many instances where a harmless and well-cared-for animal was taken and euthanized because of short-sighted laws. The one thing that Peter Kent did right was when he intervened in the case of that lady in Fort St. James and her rescued Canada goose.

The macaque looks like he is very well cared for–and much loved. I wish someone would buy me a coat like that! Good looking and very, very cozy! And, before anyone says anything, macaques are temperate-climate monkeys, being used to winter, and are not as high-strung as other monkeys.

    Warren,

Your “Planet of the Apes” reference reminds me of a disucssion I had on another thread. The fact this monkey is wearing a fur coat also comes into play.

I was on a thread a few years ago and the discussion was global warming. One genius poster was trying to convince we “deniers” that Global warming was the biggest threat facing humanity..blah..blah..blah…I”m sure you’re heard it all. In any event, the genius tried to bolster his argument by stating that he had just seen a movie called “The Day after tomorrow” and that this is were humans were heading if we didn’t start doing something now…just in case the movie was a true picture of what could happen.
To reply to this dimwit, I told him I had seen “Planet of the Apes” about 5 times…….so I asked if this means we should immediatly kill all the chimps…..just in case.

That comment certainly changed the tone of the thread. The remainder was basically a discussion/debate, about the best Planet of the Apes movie.

That being said, I wonder what torture it will be for the animal rights activists to discuss this poor little monkey? Will they blather on about the cruelty of keeping a wild animal caged up…..or will they be beside themselves with the fact that the monkey is apparently wearing a fur coat?

I hope you are right about global warming, Mr. Halifax, because if you arent…….your grandchildren will face an uncertain and possibly difficult future…..
But again, I will take this man’s word over a Con hack’s anyday…..http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fWInyaMWBY8

I am right about Global Warming. If you want to know what causes it….look up.

It’s that Big Ball of burning Hydrogen you see in the sky.

Climate has changed many times before….and there wasn’t an SUV in sight.

Rest easy…….besides. If the Mayan’s are right….it won’t really matter after tomorrow.

Planet of the Apes seems to be haunting me over the past couple of days.If you want to see a real Planet of the apes scene, here is a youtube video of some West African soldiers who handed a loaded AK 47 to a chimp, I roared with laughter, not some puny little lol either.
