Harper hockey book in captivity: year 9, day 237

Free that book being held hostage! Busby’s on the case.

Boy, I sure wish I could get Roy McGregor to ghostwrite – er, I mean, act as an “editorial consultant” – on my books!

Guess I just have to keep writin’ ’em myself. At a rate of about one every two years or so.

“Exploit Canada’s love of the game.”
Does Harper have a true feeling for anything other than power?

If Harper told me there were seven days in the week…I’d check the calendar…twice.

Good on Busby for busting them for the ‘Harper had no choice about going with a US publisher’ BS.

AS IF he would have signed away his ability to veto any deal his agent brokered — he would have torn it up in an instant if it were discovered the chosen publisher had recently put out something his base might consider pornographic, e.g.

It’s like their hiding behind the RCMP when he insulted the country of India — and the Canadian taxpayers — by flying his armoured Cadillacs there.

I came across a story to the effect that either just before, or just after GeoWBush became a candidate for the Republican nomination for pres, that hte REpublican Party bought that ranch in Crawford so that frat boy could ‘be a rancher’ clearing brush on the weekends.

Of course, other world leaders have done successful writing… Vaclav Havel, for example.
    (He teased the Liberals gleefully…)

I don’t think I’ve ever read a book before that was penned fifteen minutes a day over a nine year period. It took Boston one year less to make a really crappy record in the 80s. But I digress.

Why does anybody care about this story? Just wondering.

Surely you jest, Doc. Anything for another chance to fulminate about the Evil One. I particularly like Exploit Canada’s love of the game. He hasn’t been this mendacious since he exploited our love of the Beatles at the National Arts Centre.

When there are very few serious issues to talk about, hockey books and Senators fill the void.
