Fun with numbers

Here.

Great news if you’re Brad Wall, not so good if you’re Christy Clark.

Across the aisle? Adrian Dix is a very popular Opposition leader, seems. It’s why most people think he’ll be Premier.

But look at who exactly matches his number in Ontario! Does the same outcome await Andrea Horwath?

Polls are fun!

    Warren,

Maybe somebody is about to bat 1000 – ‘course depends on the quality of the poll!

  2. Just goes to show approval ratings mean next to nothing compared to voting intention.

I guess they talk about in Canada because they poll approval rating of presidents in the US and they only do that because between elections the opposition party is leaderless, so there is nothing else to poll.

Wynne on transit. Vote for me and I’ll raise your taxes. Clearly she has surrounded herself with idealistic vision pumpers who can not help but force their issue de jour. Gone are the days of McGuinty’s keen understanding of the gullibility of the electorate. Wynne is going down in flames methinks. Of course transit needs investment from the people but you can’t Wynne by telling the truth Kathleen.

Let’s not forget that Wynne comes to the table with a solid track record of the TDSB way of running things.
It was baggage that Ontario Liberals were warned against in the leadership race.

Perhaps some Canadians don’t feel they are getting their fair share of economic benefits and their dissatisfaction translates itself into leftist sentiment. Conservatives lose in the polls and Liberals are non-existent now.

Of course, BC has a strong 2-party system, which it has had for years. Ontario, has a strong 3-party system. I think this would translate into a much higher percentage of seats for Dix, where the only real alternative in most ridings is a very unpopular and long-term government. Just my $0.02.

  6. Jon Adams says:

As much as I think he’s harmful in the long run, Premier Wall and his team are probably the savviest politically in a long time.

“Does the same outcome await Andrea Horwath?”

It certainly could, if she plays this right.

Re: Clark – disappointing because she didn’t she start off very well? Was she also not a crackerjack of an Education Minister? Maybe another question we can ask is whether Wynne (an ex-education minister herself) will see the same outcome as Clark? Again, if Horwath plays this right, yes.
