Wente vs. Wong

Long piece. I was nodding until the author tried to set up Jan Wong, who is scum, as a victim. She isn’t.

You missed an opportunity to title this “What Wente Wong”

Anyway, I saw Wong speak once at a Canadian University Press gala. Her style of journalism is… not for me. To put it nicely.

  2. KP says:

Jan Wong is a bad journalist and worse person. It’s a shame karma came so late in her life.

  3. Rose Stephanson says:

Jan Wong can NOT be considered a journalist – she is a deranged Maoist agent provocateur – at Beijing University she denounced a trusting fellow student who had sought her help to escape communist China to the West (wiki) – a close examination of her file reveals a long trail of woe and dirty tricks.

What she passes off as journalism is in fact her self-styled brand of Maoist active measures to sow discord, attack morale, disseminate disinformation, etc. It is the Ryerson Review who is willfully blind, both about Wong, and the broader historical, political, and communications dynamics of Maoism and Marxism.

In a sane Canada, Jan Wong would have been sent packing long ago. She represents the lowest dregs of Communist filth. Sir, I applaud your vigilance in this matter.

It speaks volumes about the Globe when Wente keeps her ‘job’, Wong had one, and Rick Salutin gets canned.

It’s become Canada’s National Joke and a sad example of terrible reporting. Small wonder blogs are becoming more popular.
