Heretofore and henceforth, I am to be known as Miguel Angel Dynamite

I’m about to go on Sun News about Weiner’s weiner, among other things. So I decided to try out Slate’s fun Carlos Danger Name Generator, here.

I am now officially Miguel Angel Dynamite. That is how I expect to addressed on Sun News, too.

(in order to read the following you must use the voice of Peter Lorre) for I am Diego Covert!!! Mr. Miguel Angel Dynamite, and I have heard of your deeds and the long hard dangerous road you have travelled. There are many tales of the man they call Weiner, but truth is stranger than fiction. What raises the most questions and turns the most heads is the interest in Weiner’s weiner for me, is not the infidelity or the online activities. It is indeed that no-one has used the line by Trudeau who famously defended a bill by telling reporters that “there’s no place for the state in the bedrooms of the nation”, adding that “what’s done in private between adults doesn’t concern the Criminal Code” It was his belief, I believe which has launched an apparent pseudonym craze, whereby articulators of all types of salient material have been forced to adopt personas to avoid the intrusiveness of the media into our bedrooms adding an additional room, the Internet. At one time it was considered a moral sin to expose oneself, now of course that time has almost passed with the Juvenile embrace of the extra bedroom as a place where one can strut, prim and show ones plumage and engage in activities of an adult nature. If you will follow my lead, the whole affair is not unusual in today’s environment, to find ones love online indeed apparently 63% of couples now meet online (http://www.match.com/magazine/article/4671/.) I must admit, I am not a puritan, never have been it must be the Catholicism that did not take or maybe the Pentecost but what I am is a believer in Love and its strength. What I don’t see appreciated is the reach of those in society that have found themselves in the personal lives of politicians for the sake of political fortune. Here is the place to understand, and change voices to the angry and judgemental lot who cannot seem to understand that what is between man and wife, is none of their business. These folks need to find something relevant to talk about, other than Weiner’s Weiner. What we got here is failure to reach, because it is beyond where most of us would like the media to go. Elsewise if we start declaring such acts punishable, by public shaming, if no other means, we will give too much power to the press indeed they will become the keepers of our moral compasses and if not to lead us astray it will be to deny us anything they wish to declare off limits creating little mental prisons for us all to operate out of as machinations of their own twisted morality. When you give power to others to define you, the corruption they embrace is worse than the original sin of which Oliver Wendell Holmes has said “Great cases like hard cases make bad law. For great cases are called great, not by reason of their importance… but because of some accident of immediate overwhelming interest which appeals to the feelings and distorts the judgment” I would argue that by entering the bedroom of one and holding him or her up in comparison to another who has had no such intrusion, there is a disservice done to the individual which is not easily undone, as the good wife standing by her now lacking husband has found. I do not like the mentality of power over the individual, power so secure in its irrevocability that it is itself corrupted but blind also to that corruption. (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1fuDDqU6n4o) Some men you just cant reach, and I don’t like it any more than you men attitude, one that is wrong in its assumption that we care more about the mans pursuit of happiness than his pursuit of Liberty good governance and Justice for all. After all it has been many years since Mrs. Lewinski was a household name, and for all the hoopla of the time, Hillary being the Good Wife has proven to be what a Good Women or Man does when confronted with the worse of the marriage. I wonder if the reporters who are married really understand Matthew 19:6.
