this guy was on the simpsons!

  2. Nic Coivert says:

Wonder how feels now about your Two Lives Crossing?

  3. Paul says:

Wow… great apology. The original statement must have been amazingly off base. Might be interesting to read in context today.

  4. The final sentence says a great deal about WK, all of it positive.

  5. Pipes says:

I hope his donation was significant and not a bag of used clothing.

  6. partrick says:

I don’t even know you and I know enough that most of that statement is false, or the world is lying. Is there some sort of street cred for getting sued by Warren? Or are people that stupid.

  7. Robin says:

“Online statements”? Exactly where were these online statements made? Just curious.

    • Warren says:

Do you think, just maybe, that it is not in the interests of the plaintiff to direct people to the location of the libel for which the defendant has just apologized and retracted?

      Do you think?

McBain is a total nut job. If you’ve ever read any of his “rants” against the LPC it’s obvious he should be on medication. Nice to see he got his pee pee slapped for making unsubstantiated claims. Beaches-East York has had enough of him. And his wife.

  9. brucethepainter says:

McBain is a weasel. He seems to soften his apology when he says “I am satisfied this is not true” -Cheap shot artist like John Oakley.

  10. Eugene 0'Malley says:

Public relations consultant vs public relations consultant! O, the Macbain’s of my existence! Seems bad blood still circulates round – sort of sad really when one recalls that Chrétien defended Minna – evidently they harbour a serious grudge to this day (fuck, can I be sued for that?)

My psycho-social take on it: the phrase, “he is writing about Canada and the Indians” (via your link) is indicative of European-born people who remain entrenched in some kind of civilizing mission in the New World that requires them to lash out at the Natives (Canadian Natives included) at every turn. Newcomers are convinced of their superiority (and if their birth country was so great, why did they leave it right?)

I think it’s one of the greatest problems within the party and the country. Ok, back to ramping up the boycott (a great Irish slant to this word!) against Russian vodka! Out, damned spot!

  11. Stew B says:

And while you’re on about the Liberal party, what’s with Trudeau II’s sudden priority to legalize pot?
