Sad day

I am taking Daughter and Son One to Boston today. They are flying back to Toronto. Son One is starting hockey camp, and daughter is going to be packing for her first year at Dalhousie.

And so, I have a little boy, Son Three, who is so, so sad that his big sister is going away. You have never met a little boy who loves his big sister as much as mine does. For him, this is such a huge deal.

Skype. They can set up a deal where one calls the other every few days, and catch up on the news. That could make the separation a bit easier to take. Kudos on raising such caring kids.

Granddaughter here in the oil patch, getting her start in working, keeps touch with her 5 yr old kid brother in small town prairie-land…via the wonders of the internet…great stuff…the kid is learning to use the internet for this…

I hear you brother. You don’t mention your own feelings but I’m sure if you’re like I am, you’ll miss your absentee kids so much. My boy is older…26…and entering the Norman Patterson School of International Affairs at Carleton for his Masters degree, and I well know that the house will be empty when he leaves after living with me for the last year. So sorry for your younger son but, hey, you can tell him he’ll have you all to himself, lol.
