I’d like to see Steve Paikin explain this crap to my daughter

She wouldn’t buy it, either, but it sure would be interesting.

Oh, and why am I not a Paikin fan, you ask? Well, a few years back he invited a white supremacist on his show. I and others objected. Steve’s reaction?

He brought the white supremacist on anyway, and attacked me for having had the effrontery to challenge him.

Hey, wait. I see a bit of a trend developing, here.

If Paikin tried to explain this to your daughter, she’d probably laugh, and then he’d think that was proof that she was the lieutenant-governor.

  2. Tell me Warren I still do not understand why the Liberals,NDP and the media have not made any statements or any attacks on Stephen harper for being a member of the white supremacist group Northern Foundation back in the 1980’s and was opposed to releasing Nelson Mandela.I have not heard a peep from either the Opposition parties or the press on this matter & yet look at the Conservative attack ads!

  3. Correct me if I’m wrong, but I’ve seen that same person who was on Pakin’s show appear on Sun News Network.

Paikin said it was a “teachable moment.”

    Is that good enough?

Mr Paikin. That is not a teachable moment. You’ve done enough. Have you no sense of decency, sir? At long last, have you left no sense of decency?

Hmm, I wonder how this will play ’round my neck of the woods, ie. Sudbury? Steve, for those who don’t know, is Laurentian University’s new Chancellor. That university in Northern Ontario with a tricultural mandate, one of those three cultures being the Indigenous. I look forward to him speaking at the next convocation about pure motives and teachable moments and whatnot.

I haven’t given that shithead a thought since he interjected his own thoughts in the middle of an election debate he was supposed to be “moderating” as Dion was ripping Harper a new one.

For someone so well-informed and reasonable I’m surprised with how tone-deaf/clueless Paiken can be sometimes. He should’ve known better in the first place than to tweet and thereby condone those get-ups. Just as I surprised when 60inches of futility was allowed on The Agenda. I think she’s at least been banned since then, but once again why wait til the horse has left the barn?

So a bunch of elite Torontoians told each other how great they were, while making fun of figures outside and being contemptuous of minorities and their concerns.

If you think about it, it was absolutely the most perfect celebration possible for Sir John A.
