Bishops Carroll’s famous women

Hayley Wickenheiser, Feist, Alison Redford, Danielle Smith, and a bunch of others.  The men who went there? Aside from Tewksbury, Yip, and assorted athletes, not as notable.

Other than the aforementioned, there are many, many other male, well-known male alumni from Bishop Carroll. A few non-lawyer, non-professionals I met are:

Dana Murzyn (NHL hockey player) was in my homeroom.

Mr. Doyle was our teacher advisor, and he caught mass murder Charles Ng while moonlighting as a security guard at The Bay downtown.

Tony Rino was valedictorian and he is a well-known tenor who sang the anthem quite a bit at Flames games.

Mike Siroshka (Argo receiver) was receiver when us seniors went undefeated all season and killed St. Francis something like 45-4 in the city final to break their endless streak of city wins. We may have thrown the ball half a dozen all season (it was all triple option).

Alison Redford (who was nice but wasn’t considered political at the time (was not even involved in School Council)) was my girlfriend’s best friend (Mr. McCauley was their homeroom teacher).

    Connections to you;

At B.C., girlfriend also hooked me up with two punk groupies (one was a black, long-haired girl and other was a red-headed guy I believe was called Conan) who asked me (youth entrepreneur who bought a button machine) to make 100 buttons for The Hot Nasties and 100 buttons another band (I believe The Sturgeons).

Other girlfriend (I dated four of feeder school’s smartest girls) went to St. Bonaventure and her best friend went to Bishop Grandin. I believe she was Schenk’s sister.

AWWW. The memories. The good times!

I think it’s time we got together !

        For sure.

Next SFH performance. Last time I arrived after your curfew (Sneaky Dees).

Or in Montreal … I will be the one giving out flyers to Liberals over 45 and telling them that some Liberals do appreciate their past efforts and wish they are considered for more than donations and doing the grunt work during campaigns.

Won’t be there! A top Trudeau guy called a friend of a certain hoped-for mayoralty candidate, this week, and made dark mutterings about losing Liberals if I was allowed to stick around. He was laughed at.

So, I think I will make different use of my weekend!

            Sad and Pathetic.

Awaiting the barrage of Trudeau hanger-ons and hope-to-bes. Maybe they will leave this stream alone since it does not have his name in the title.

What’s the over/under on how many over 50 sitting Liberal MPs run in 2015?

Enjoy the weekend! And see you at the next SFH gig.

Many fond memories of that place.

Unique in my experience that it is one of the few high schools whose graduates speak fondly of their time there.
