The dignity and sanctity of the legal profession

People sometimes ask me if I ever miss the profession – its traditions, its decorum, its grace. In the future, I intend to refer them to Mr. Casino’s commercial, which ran in Georgia during the Super Bowl. Makes those Diamond and Diamond ads during Raptors games look like something out of the august chambers of the Supreme Court, doesn’t it?

Some of the worst scripting, camera work and editing I’ve ever witnessed. The Coen brothers can rest easier, knowing their jobs are secure.

Next time I need a tombstone smashed I know who to call. I wonder if he knows any good lawyers.

Seriously though, that probably plays well in Georgia.

that commercial will work wonders for him in the U.S.A. if he got out of criminal law, how nice to be able to re-invent himself by one commercial. It might be a terrible “movie” but I’m sure it paid for itself.

Now where did you ever get the idea that there was any “dignity and sanctity of the legal profession” left. Perhaps the odd lawyer here and there, but for the most part, its gone and has been for a very long time. O.K. the lawyers who work hard at things such as the Innocence Project, but the rest are at it to make as much money as possible. Casino just put it out there like it is.
