Do you wonder why I typically view the world around me as insane/evil?

Wonder no more.

When you open your eyes you realize it always has been that way …

That’s why at our parish we pray at the end of every Sunday mass …

St. Michael the Archangel, defend us in battle.
Be our defense against the wickedness and snares of the Devil.
May God rebuke him, we humbly pray, and do thou,
O Prince of the heavenly hosts, by the power of God,
thrust into hell Satan, and all the evil spirits,
who prowl about the world seeking the ruin of souls. Amen.

… And it will be that way until the end of days.

    File it under WTF.

Wow. I guess the Nobel prize has become irrelevant. Like all storied organizations rife with corruption i.e. the Olympics, UN, and the main stream media it’s only a matter of time before nobody cares and it slowly dies off.

    Seriously?

Soooooooo – I bet he didnt get a Jubilee Medal from the Queen ..now that would be a head scratcher…

Oh, simmer down. Any member of any national assembly can nominate anyone for the Nobel Peace Prize. Do you think it’s possible that Putin, um, “suggested” to one of his minions that he be nominated? It’s not as though he’ll wind up in the small pool of actual contenders.

    It’s meaningless.

  9. Kev says:

Pretty well anyone can nominate pretty well anyone for the Nobel Peace Prize. The nomination is even more meaningless than the actual award.

I can understand how you feel, but on another level I just couldn’t stop laughing. Putin and nobel peace prize, just not in the same sentence. What was interesting in the Post, was the number of financial people who seem to have “bitten the dust”. You almost wonder if some one is offing them.
