Darkness Visible by William Styron. The greatest memoir on the darkness of the soul ever written. You’ve probably read it so read it again. If not then do so or play a lot of Chuck Berry until your head falls off 🙂
Mother nature (and weekends!!) can be such sweet sweet relief for the spirit ….. ; )
We are fortunate in Canada: no matter where you live it’s still easy to reach the wild country that seduces the wildness in our hearts & souls.
Sometimes I fear for our dominant society/culture because so many people are so disconnected from the land – and the peace & freedom it brings.

I dunno… Them branches look like they are gently rustling in a pleasant breeze and the noise of the lapping water can be enough to drive any man sane. Yep, looks like a genuinely therapeutic environment to me alrighty. Maybe fire up a generator so’s you can think. 😉 Throw in an extra bobber for me, eh.
