Thank you

I’ve been getting some amazing notes from you guys this morning – offers to stay with a family in PEI, advice about real help from a former colleague on the Hill, a long letter from a fellow Bishop Carroll alumnus. Lots of others.

Going to get on the right track – I promise. And, apropos of nothing, here’s the only portrait ever done of me – by my Mom, in what I always wear up at the cabin. Felt time to post it.

Thank you again, all.

    Thank you to you too!

Each dad out here related to at least some, if not all, of your circumstances.

Ditto what Pete done said. You know, it’s a massive coincidence but my dad painted a portrait of me up at Loon Lake back in 1967 that looks almost identical. I was a bit smaller than you are (I was 6) but it is amazingly similar. Almost looks like it was painted by the same hand on the same steps and wearing the same clothes and hat. Go figger. Must be the air back there. We have a place on the gulf Islands now, but it just doesn’t feel the same as the old family cottage. I sure miss the taste of fresh pickerel… Funny how Father’s day makes us dads think about old times, eh? I guess we’re all becoming Sam the Lion.

I have no words of wisdom but I want to thank you for being open with your life.
Not only do you care politically but you share wholeheartedly, thanks.
