—I swear to God, Saskatchewan is so beautiful
If I lived here, I’d lie in a park and stare at the sky all the time.

Most beautiful and unappreciated provinces in Canada.

That’s why our licence plates say “Land of Living Skies,” which will probably be around a long time unless somemone starts a new “Living Skies” political party.

You’d lie in a park. You can only lay in the past.

“I would lie” (in a park or elsewhere) is perfectly acceptable. “Lay” can be past tense or refer to an object in the present as “to lay the pen down.”

Great photo, Lala!! Saskatchewan is one of Canada’s best kept (& most literate) secrets! 😉

It is beautiful indeed. Some observations (as a former resident of the prairies):
– In Saskatchewan, every highway is a four lane highway, although some folks might call two of those lanes “shoulders”.
– In Saskatchewan, you can watch your dog run away for three days.
– If you have ever known someone who drove their truck off the edge of a correction line, you are definitely from Saskatchewan.

Like Brent said in Corner Gas: “There is nothing to block your view.”

Moose Jaw, the only city in Canada named after a Canadian prime minister.

If it was named after our current PM, it would be called Horse’s Ass.

Ya, it is beautiful. I was in North Battleford and did a 200 mile paddle on the North Sask River. It’s beauty exceeded my ineptness to describe it. It is quite the contrast with the flatlands.

Prairies are very nice, especially in spring/summer, but can’t forget the 6 months of -30, just gives me chills of what lies ahead!

I moved here four years ago thinking I’d hate it… and the winters are long… but it’s very much under appreciated. Going to the lake here awesome. The summers here are terrific for the most part and the sky is always worth watching.

I feel like an insect out on the prairie. It’s an odd thing, but I felt nervous and fidgety with no mountains around. I never quite got used to it. Just don’t go out-doors without your compass Warren, or you will be going around in circles for weeks.

I don’t think of a prettier sight in the world as when you are driving into the setting sun and in your rear view mirror you see Saskatchewan. Actually I lived in Saskatchewan twice and both times was regaled by people who moved to Saskatchewan who said they hated Saskatchewan but loved Saskatoon.

Saskatchewan is just a Manitoba wannabe 🙂 Go Bombers!
