SNN: the first (and probably last) thing I’ll say about what I said

Chow is a real disappointment. I have my own experience with her and her lack of support for you isn’t surprising.

  2. Matt says:

You handled it about as well as you could. You could have returned the favour by throwing her under the bus, but IMO, you took the high road.

  3. TrueNorthist says:

I never got that “feeling” when I saw Ms Chow speaking or mingling with the masses. She strikes me as an opportunist brimming with ulterior motives, the very thing that doomed Adrian Dix too. Some folks just can’t hide their spots very well. I have the feeling you got out while the getting was good.

  4. Matt says:

How strange was it hearing from the Ford’s saying “hang in there”?

    🙂

  5. debs says:

I guess she learned a few diplomatic tricks from Jack.

  6. Patrick says:

    Mega undisciplined, selon moi.

When a staffer – particularly one experienced enough to know better – not the candidate is the story, it’s poor form. Straight up.

  7. Brad says:

To me it was a really bad case of political correctness over a funny tweet.

Anyways, probably best not be associated with a losing campaign. You did your best to promote her on your site, my take is there were not a lot of regulars here who supported her including myself.

I really wish I had mentioned that I never “liked” Olivia, or Jack for that matter, don’t know why but they’ve always rubbed me the wrong way even when I agreed with them, but Warren you’re in politics and Olivia is losing traction everyday and there is going to be casualties. You’re joining the fester piles of political careers buried in the death valley of political expediency.
You’re 0 for 2 in recent months and may need a long rest in the desert so people forget about you’re recent, uh, lets say choices.
Fortunately there have also been miraculous rebirths and risings from this same burial ground so enjoy the holiday.

While I’m no fan of Ms. Chow and would never even consider voting for her, you do need to exercise caution when looking at polls.

Case in point, in Calgary’s Mayoral election in 2010, Nenshi was in third at 8% with a month to go. He ended up winning by almost 9 points.

  9. Warren says:

She’s pretty awesome, too. Puts up with me, for starters.

  10. Mike Lesperance says:

A pretty poor excuse for a brouhaha. A pretty poor excuse for getting thrown under the bus. If your candidate isn’t going to be behind you on that, what’s going to happen when the grenades really start flying.

I’ll quote Nicolle Wallace: “If someone wants to throw me under the bus, my personal belief is that the most graceful thing to do, is lie there.”

  11. socks clinton says:

Are you sure the clip isn’t Bill Murray and Jane Curtin from an old SNL Weekend Update clip.

  12. Brachina says:

Not surprised, she threw Joe Cressly under the bus, that’s when I realized that when Jack died so did her moral compass. I mean arren your liberal and endorsed him, she refused to do so as well after he worked on her majoral campaign and federally. I can’t respect someone who has little sense of loyalty. I look at Chow now and wonder who the hell is this person I’ve respected all these years?

So I’m not surprised you got thrown under the bus.

Even a few years ago I’d never have thought that I’d take your side over Chows, not in a million years. And yet I do.

    • Warren says:

Thanks. It was disappointing, but life goes on. It’s happened to me once before, too: “I have no relationship with Warren Kinsella.” Now, what was that candidate’s name? How did he do?

      Oh yeah.
