Operation Alienation™

Operation Alienation™ hits the jackpot again – this time a family member, no less!

What superior people management skills! What morale-building! What a proud legacy!

What a spectacular mess they’ve made.

Team Trudeau! Driving Campaigns into the Ditch since 2006.

      You are so, so right.

Go through the list, not one winner. Since 2006, loss (including 2006) after loss after loss. JT has given them all a chance to redeem themselves, and they are pulling him down. Sorry, winning the Liberal Leadership was a no brainer. JT could have pulled a McCallion and he would have won. Mind you, they did try their best to F*** that up too, and were asking for an extension because they were too busy admiring their own intelligence to realize they needed to get emails from supporters.

I laugh when I read that there will be a Red Book or some policy announcements during the campaign. These folks are incapable of doing it. In the second week of the campaign, they will still be trying to decide on the font Trudeau’s name should be on signs.

On this blog (and elsewhere) they have already started to prepare us for their loss.

Yikes! I made a mistake. WK, we need a preview to look at before we submit. At least it is a small one that will not impact a nation. Sorry, this is NOT a blog but thoughtful articles and thoughts worthy of commentary.

    Warren,

For Christ’s sake, in my view of the political world, loyalty sure has its limits.

    I’d say we’re just about there…again.

Michael, think back and perhaps smile at it all.

Perhaps Deborah Coyne is a Liberal ambassador within the Green Party which will pave the way for a merger of the Liberals and Greens. Perhaps Deborah will convince Elizabeth to bring the Greens to the Liberals. It would be a great coup for Justin and the Liberal Party.

Pride goeth before [yet another] fall.

This is like something out of “I, Claudius”.

I wonder what P.E.T. would have made of all of this, were he still ( I wish) around.

The Stockwell Day comparisons are adding up. I think LPC might dump Trudeau by the end of the year, even if he increases seat count and becomes LOTOO. He hasn’t made one smart move since the boxing match and time is almost up.

Who knows, but my hunch is Ms C has gone off in a huff over a perceived slight. As Scott says, it was not really Family-friendly of Ms C to run her, less than focused, leadership campaign against Mr T. Speaking as a Sophomoric Partizan(TM) IMHO Ms C is putting herself ahead of one’s party & one’s country; better now not 6-8 months from now.

I know the optics ain’t good but, how to put this delicately? Has anyone ever met Ms C?
Met her once at a Christmas Party & I’m sure she’s brilliant however; I wondered at the time why would a person who’s not a good communicator, ill at ease meeting people and frankly a somewhat prickly person in public consider politics as an occupation.

Might have something to do with two smart people, May and Coyne, who have a had a look at what scientists on climate and oceans have been reporting, and notice that the three larger parties are not touching this issue.

  8. John Matheson says:

Stephen Harper was supposed to be the issue. Now people (including some Liberals) are thinking of voting for Harper to stop Trudeau, like they did a generation ago to stop Paul Martin.

Still you have to admit that Trudeau won the Liberal leadership fair and square. Whoever wants to remain a Liberal is stuck with him.

    • smelter rat says:

NOBODY is thinking that. Nice try. Thanks for playing.

    • wsam says:

I read that if he’s not stopped and gets elected Trudeau is going to make the census voluntary, ruining the primary and most effective means for Canadians to understand our country and how it is changing. Oh wait.

      • Ridiculosity says:

JT would make the census voluntary? Bullshit.

The Liberal Party of Canada is unanimous in its belief that the government needs evidence-based decision making and has been calling on the Harper government for a long time to reinstate the mandatory long-form census, so Statistics Canada would have the tools it needs and we can make informed decisions about public policy.

  9. terence quinn says:

I think time will prove she would have been a bigger liability inside the party. I say good riddance and kudos to JT for recognizing her limitations.

  10. Marc-André Chiasson says:

Ah the Trudeau-hating cackle of crones that rushed to discredit Eve Adams’ creds and reputation when she migrated to the LPC, are humming a different tune now that a Liberal woman has moved in another direction. Weird…but not surprising.

I love the smell of Liberal infighting.
