On the one hand, I can agree, but if you check out our own Canadian Government Security Standards, you would find out that what she did is a violation of security. I would suspect American standards are at least as high as ours. It seems quite astonishing that she wasn’t aware of this, or that no one ever called her on it in the four years she served as SecState.
It is also interesting to me that the NYTimes seems to be quite critical of her on this point – maybe they don’t like her, for some reason? I don’t know, it just seems odd, but they’ve been beating the drum on this day after day for what seems like forever now.
There’s no way she wasn’t aware, given that she had the server set up as she became Secretary of State.

We think it bad when our gnomish spies are tracking us all the time; big shots must be even more paranoid.
I don’t think she’s that stupid. She’s been around long enough to know better. Still, I don’t think the intent was malicious.
Almost all of her work related communications would have been logged on the other end by those who used government emails, so it’s hardly a way to cover anything up. That’s why this is a non story.
No …Ms. Clinton is certainly not that stupid. That is just the way the Clintons roll.
As a person of this demographic who was just discussing this with a friend as we struggled to look at photos on a digital camera (good lord we have not even graduated to fancy phones yet), I thank you for the “endearing” comment; you have made me feel slightly less inept.

I dont get it – surely security around the Secretary of State would extend to her electronics – one of her handlers never thought to ask …granted her itinerary etc would be set up by her people ….did she have to call the 1-800 line to get support and wait it out like the rest of us….what about roaming charges ??..no wonder US is in deficit…
It’s not endearing when your average 75 year old is more than capable of Skype, Facebook and texting.
So should a 60+ be not guilty of other offences… Speeding…. Shoplifting?
Endearing is a 60+ person doing something unexpected such as sky diving… Shooting their age in golf etc.
Reminds me of that Seinfeld episode where Uncle Leo shoplifts a book and when he’s caught, cries that he’s a “confused old man”. I don’t think America would be too thrilled with four years of their president claiming to be a confused old woman.
In other words, she should absolutely be held to the same standards as everyone else.

The NSA must have recorded some or all of the email exchanges between foreign states and/or foreigners as Clinton’s email servers were outside of the networks of the American State. There is a high probability this data has been copied by whistle blower(s) as a sort of insurance in case Clinton moves to full-blown rule by decree in some kind of dictatorship scenario. Impeachment may yet befall Billary. This makes the Nixon tapes look like child’s play – although Chairman Mao is in both narratives. Those pesky people who still believe in defending the Constitution and American Liberty!
40 years ago, 18 1/2 minutes of missing tape was a national crisis. But no one much cares about 30,000 unaccounted emails with severe national security implications? My how times do change.

Considering that this is news in the NYT I suspect this may signal the beginning of the end of Hillary’s political career. I have no idea what was in the emails or how many emails there were but when the Democrat kingmaker NYT begins to air your political dirty laundry its time to shuffle off the stage as gracefully as you can. BTW her newser was definitely not graceful.
