Canadians against racism, homophobia, anti-Semitism and hate

Here.

This is much needed, and particularly in Toronto’s east end. A group of neo-Nazis and white supremacist have apparently become very active there, and are even making use of the Postal Service to disseminate material that promotes everything from Adolf Hitler to the Heritage Front.

More to come on this very important issue.

Sure have to have a lot of mean people together to come up with that cartoon contest in Texas!

    • Bruce Marcille says:

Pardon me; are you slamming the people who were drawing the cartoons? Your comment is ambiguous.

      • davie says:

Everyone involved, organizers and contestants, are going out of their way to dump on people who are in a minority that is vulnerable. For me, they are simply mean.

Interestingly, an acquaintance of mine—someone with whom I’ve never really seen eye to eye, unknowingly has an advert placed in this periodical that you’re referencing here, Warren. I called him. He’s a man of faith. A minister, pastor or whatever you call it… He was shocked when I called him, after years of not speaking. So, to anyone that received this rag like I did, please know that this person is a good man who has nothing to do with these clowns.

I’m the first one to say that I believe in free speech. I mean TOTALLY FREE. I’m not a fan of hate speech laws because even a dangerous idiot should be able to speak his mind; and I would rather know who the dangerous idiot is than have him hiding in the shadows.

So, while I may disagree with the bigots and clowns distributing this rag, I also believe that they have a right to speech. Voltaire was right. “I may disagree with what you have to say but I’ll fight to the death for your right to say it.”

Keep us posted, Mr. Kinsella. I’m interested to know where this leads.

Once upon a time I used to tilt at the windmill of hatreds. Nazis and skinheads were my favourite target. Then I came to realize that hatred is not limited to those I oppose but too often hatred is found in the groups I support and sometimes the hatred of one group I support is aimed at another group I support.

The rag that this particular white supremacist publishes is pure excrement.

I’m all in favour of free speech, but this is unmitigated hate speech – not matter which way you spin it – and he should not be allowed to disseminate it (nor should the workers at Canada Post be forced to deliver it).

Frank Zappa said it best, “Stupidity has a certain charm. Ignorance has none.)

What on earth publication is being distributed in the East End? I live just east of Pape between O’Connor and Cosburn and fortunately haven’t seen anything in my mailbox…

    • King Prick says:

It’s been distributed by The New Constitution and for the record; there’s no such thing as hate speech. Either you believe in freedom of speech or you don’t and anyone who believes that speech should be “classified” in the name of political correctness is being a fool.

The paper in question is vile. To that I’ll agree. But “unmitigated hate speech” is a bit much. I’ve read it front to back. It’s a paper sent by idiots for idiots. Let’s not be so thin skinned. Even morons should have the right to free speech.

what else can we expect given the leader of the Cons, the p.m. isn’t exactly how shall we put it nicely, no can’t find the words.

In my opinion the cons have promoted this type of action. Their continued harping on people who may be muslim and/or arab, its creating an atmosphere of distrust. Warmongering never provides a positive atmosphere of trust and acceptance.

then of course Trudeau welcomed Bill blair into the house, well so much for that party.

we have just heard the report into the armed forces. guess who was in charge for the last 10 yrs. what did harper and his cons do to deal with it. NOTHING.

We have a p.m. who in so many words says First Nations women’s lives don’t matter.

The rise of hate groups will continue, give the type of leadership we have in this country.
