I am drawn to elections wherever I go

  1. peter friesen says:

    Jean McConville.

How dare you show his grinning face.

  2. Ronald O'Dowd says:

I wonder how many still speak and read the Irish. My grandfather could. Not me.

    • Richard Besserer says:

The slogan reads “Better with Sinn Féin.”

Funny, that. Plenty of people on both sides of the border would have been better off without Sinn Féin.

  3. mapsonburt says:

I’m guessing you are in Dublin or Belfast… (actually Gerry Adams should give me a clue!) Have a Guinness for me! Sláinte mhaith!

  4. Richard Besserer says:

Right now Sinn Féin is polling second behind the main government party, Fine Gael (rough equivalent of the German Christian Democrats).

I am an Irishman. I still have family in Drogheda. You have no idea how horrifying a prospect it is to see Sinn Féin get a chance of being official opposition—or how ashamed my family are to have Gerry Adams of all people as our MP.
